Good Morning Everyone! ~O)

Recap of the PM cycle:
PMPS 285 @+12.25 1.6u given and fed
+3 262
+ 5 106 Off to bed. Looks like the shaping of a nice low run.
AMPS 301 1.6u given and fed

Preshots seem to be trending lower. Overall pleased. Perhaps I can manage the #'s lower if I tinker with diet. Right now FF classics, (Turkey & Giblets, Chicken, and Beef) on rotation and on occassion Merrick BG Salmon, which they both seem to like. The other BG flavors are blech to them. Going to see what foods are lower (suggestions welcome) and go that route.

Sophisticats Turkey and Giblets has 0 carbs, if that helps. And they have a few flavors that have 1 carb (Country Style, Liver and Chicken).

Petsmart is changing the name Sophisticats to Great Choice or something like that, but say the formulas are not changing.

Jax is lookin good!
I know that the fish and shrimp has zero carbs...
but be careful cause I have seen shakes drop like crazy on food with no carbs..

Thanks! Don't really have a Petsmart close to me, only a PETCO but I could probably find one not too far away. Will have to put that on the back burner for now. Maybe this weekend I can scout that out.

Very pleased with that #. Trending downward. Hope Jax keeps up the good work. Holding at 1.6u and fed.

Just woke up to get a test on Jax. Last night got a +5 at 106 and went to bed. Assumed he had a good cycle.
Woke up (not sure why) and decided to take advantage to get a +7. Came in at 58. Rubbed my eyes, retested 48. Is this how low he is dropping overnight?

Not in freakout mode but gave frozen snack as well as a little non frozen low carb FF. Going to retest in 15. Very surprised to see these #'s. I gave a little more non frozen FF (half can) than I have been over the last few days because I'm a tad nervous about how low he is. Hoping its nadir.

Usually I give frozen snack around +4-+6 but I forgot. Perhaps that is why I woke up? Unconsciously, perhaps, I knew it was time for the last test of the night as I try to get two in and I also neglected to leave out frozen before I dozed off.

Retested at 119 which is the food spike. Didn't know he spikes that high either? This is on approx 1.5oz FF and .5 frozen. In the past I was giving him about 1.5 frozen FF at night but recently dropped that down to .75oz. Think he will be ok as I woke him up to get the +7 and after grooming looks he's readt to settle back in. Don't feel as if I should stay up to retest now but admit I am curious to see what the +8 is. Wondering if he will drop back down or hold steady.

Good Morning everyone!

Ended up getting a liver dump. +11 now at 422. Let me recap the curve.

PMPS 271 1.6u given and fed
+4 192
+ 7 58 retest was 48. Quick check after food given was 119. High. Guess the dump was taking place.

Ugh. Forgot to leave out frozen which he usually gets at +4-+6. Thinking maybe reduction to 1.4u is now warranted? AMPS is going to look ugly.

Good thing you got up and tested...but Jax probably went so low due to no snack..

I try to get shakes number once in a while at night, especially if he is having a lot of
flat days as that could mean that he is going low at night, then staying flat during the day..

Thinking I should reduce as he probably never sees a midday meal as he gobbles it up as soon as he finds it. Yes, I know...get an automatic feeder. Wonder if I can shoot 1.4 daytime and 1.6 eve when home to monitor. Comfort level with 1.6, although having solid #'s on it, I am now questioning when not home to monitor.

I tend to shoot lower if I'm nervous about numbers and can't be here to monitor, so I understand your reasoning. I, too, am thinking I may need to get a timed feeder.

I decided to hold the course with 1.6u. I think the +7 was nadir and that was the lowest point in the cycle. Which is ok. Just a panicked liver. Debated this internally, looked over the SS and badgered the dh. Decided to hold. Will leave out more frozen than normal.

Lisa, Sounds like you and Jax had an interesting night. Why do our kitties always drop low @ night when we want a good night's sleep. Glad you woke up!

PMPS 351 1.6u given and fed. Let's see what this dose does this evening. Hope I can manage to stay up. :razz:
