Good afternoon, everyone,
Oh, was it ever early this
Morning when the "ducks" sounded the alarm. We didn't sleep too well after the trip and Rusty was restless. After AMPS and breakfast we all went btb. I had a migraine and slept off and on for several hours after Edward left for th e library. This afternoon I had to do some shopping and Rusty and I are enjoying listening to the 24-hour celebration of Roy Eldredge's 101 st birthday on WKCR, the Columbia Univ. station that always plays great jazz. This evening we are having dinner with a friend after Edward gets home from his yoga class.
Rusty was high this morning, as always after a long trip, but he's coming down nicely and gradually.
Tomorrow AMPS will be at 5 AM! We will certainly go btb. Lunch with old friends and then the opera. Liz asked if Goetterdaemmerung is 5 hours long because it is German. Well, yes, but only because Wagner is German, and only because it is the conclusion of his massive Ring--4 music dramas. It is fantastic. We are "Wagnerians" and have 19 complete recordings of The Ring! This is a new production of the Ring and Goetterdaemmerung had its premiere several days ago. The Met is broadcasting it on Feb. 11, live in HD at movie theaters all over the world, if anyone is interested. You can check the Metropolitan Opera website to see if it will be at a theater near you. We plan to see it in Lake Placid.
Well, enough rambling on. Everyone have a good evening. I hope all is well in LL.

Hey kitties, the hot dogs were great. And the ice skating, too. Now we're gonna eat cimmamum donuts (to keep Tobey happy) and then go tourist watching.
