Morning all,
things are so so here. It is strange he doesn't want to be sociable....i'm really hoping i get answers this Wednesday....the dynamics here have surely changed with him...i go about my business the same routine as before...

i slept thru 2 alarms so he only got food at +6.5 and at PM BG 103

left food out for him and he doesn't go to his dish...rarely stays out for longer than 5 mins before going back to the spare room or the tub...really odd...as per the coffee table he only goes on it at night time but not long term like before...no longer goes into the bedroom either...so all in all he pees/poops/eats but his behaviour is strange indeed....which is sad

We hope you will get some answers soon. I know you are cherishing your time with him and I hope you get some rest today.

I'm sorry Rocket is not back to normal, Claudia. I can relate as Blackie is not his normal self either. I wonder if its just because of their age and this is their new normal? It is sad, though. I will be continuing to send prayers and healing vines for Rocket. And I hope Comet is okay too.

Hi Claudia,
Sometimes, when they are not feeling well, cats just want to be alone with their thoughts. We have to respect that, and you are doing a good job by just going about your routines. Rocket knows how much you love him.
I hope that this week will bring you some answers.

i'm letting him have his own space and not bother him much in the sense that if i don't bring the food to him he absolutely would go all day without eating....

he hasn't had much to eat today....been offering anything under the sun....

i managed to get a good portion of food 20 mins after testing....didn't want him associating the poking with the feeding....he ate it all...finally...

this is frustrating to say the least....

I'm sorry this is so hard on you guys. I really understand what you going thru. I made a contribution for you guys, to DCIN yesterday. It really helps to have some support. You know I keep you guys in my thoughts and prayers, and hope that you get the answers that will help you.

I think winter gets to these little guys, too.

don't wanna jinx it...but for the past 1 hr he's been in our bedroom!!! yay!!! 1 BABY STEP!!!!

he is all tucked in next to the heater....next to the bed....not on his bed...but i'll take it....he seems happy in there...so i'm just ignoring everything he does/doesn't do in there....like the grooming part....

i'll take what he gives me and this is HUGE for me....i'm happy to see him at least if not on our bed or his...he is finally in the bedroom!!!!

thought of sharing that with you guys
 
i believe they know quite well that quiet rest is healing...i went through a similar situation 2 yrs ago with Homie, it lasted 2 months and then he was back on his feet. I was stressed and panicked throughout the whole thing...it wears you out, but like you...i couldnt help it.

I've been waiting for Rocket's Monday condo. Just want to say the baby steps is great to read. I know its heard not to cuddle him and hold him close, but it sounds like he likes just lying there knowing you are near by. Sending Monday hugs.
