Yesterday we had two lovely cycles with green in the middle, yellow at one end and blue at the other. There was a wild west coast PJ party going last night, thanks to all who participated. I'm still cleaning up after them.

1/29 Recap:
AMPS 283 +3 236 +6.5 78  +7.5 70  +8.5 69
PMPS 109 +2 156 +4 61  +4.5 66  +5.5 65  +6.5 69

Neko's liver still has problems with two green cycles in a row. So we are doing a little bouncing this morning. In an hour or so I'll be able to call and get the B/W results back from yesterday's vetty visit. So many questions. Will the T4 be elevated to explain the heart murmur? Will her ALT still be fine - haven't done milk thistle for a while. Has the coconut oil addition to her diet impacted anything?

It's another drizzly day that turned into a foggy day. One quick yard patrol completed by Neko, a couple of whackfests with Theo, and napping commenced.

Re: 1/30 Neko AMPS 272 +4 325

Hi guys great to hear Neko has been having such nice green cycles, yuck on the bounce today but hopefully it will be short lived! Paws crossed for b/w results, hope you get all the answers you need. Have a great night!

Re: 1/30 Neko AMPS 272 +4 325 +8.5 132

+8.5 132
And there goes the short lived bounce, and we are back to blue. :-D

@Michelle - as requested, a very short bounce. Still waiting for B/W results. I wish they would just email them to me, but they insist on having the vet go over it with me. I guess it'll be end of day now before I hear. Not long from now.

Re: 1/30 Neko AMPS 272 +4 325 +8.5 132 - initial B/W back

Just got the call from the vet. This is the older vet who started the practice, not Neko's usual vet. I'm still waiting for the actual results so just got a verbal update. B/W was all good, T4's are pretty much in the range where they were before, so no hyperT. He mentioned the glucose as being low (I expected that  ). BG was 76  at vetty. I told him I had been monitoring and he asked what B/W was before the appointment (78) so no vetty stress. So, I left a message for Neko's regular vet to call tomorrow and we'll discuss next steps for the heart murmur.

Re: 1/30 Neko AMPS 272 +4 325 +8.5 132 - initial B/W back

I'm glad Neko's b/w results were good, except for that low BG. I hope the heart murmur is nothing serious and can be treated if necessary. Nice slide into blue.

Re: 1/30 Neko AMPS 272 +4 325 +8.5 132 - initial B/W back

Wendy, that's wonderful that the B/W was all good. :-D Now you can put aside that worry, and concentrate on the heart murmur.

Re: 1/30 Neko AMPS 272 +4 325 +8.5 132 - initial B/W back

The funny thing about the "low" BG is the vet got the results so late after the fact that they couldn't do anything about a hypo by then anyway. Great news on the no hyper T! :-D :-D Paws crossed on the heart murmur.

Hey Wendy,
I'm glad to hear these results for Neko!!!! Low BG???!!!!  I've got fingers, paws crossed her heart murmur is nothing serious.. or maybe they won't hear it again! She's been on her absolute most beautiful behavior lately.. Congrats on all those greens back to back and i hope her liver gets the message to take a chill pill. have a great night. - mary and oliver

Re: 1/30 Neko PMPS 149 - initial B/W back

PMPS 149
Neko was quite active the last part of the cycle. She went out for over an hour, spent some quality time with nip and her nanners, checking out the up and downstairs. Plus lots of whining for dinner. I had been slowly setting back shot time for last night's meeting, and now we are back to just 15 minutes late from what she is used to.

@Carla - It was a relief to hear the B/W results. Still waiting to get my hands on them to do the comparison from last time, but good overall. She did do a nice blue slide today.

@Barb - yup, one potential problem down, time to focus on the next. It is a relief.

@Rhiannon - Hyper T is relatively treatable, but I'd just as soon not have to deal with it. I do love teasing the vets with the BG, first time Neko's had a nice cycle at the vetty.

@Liz - So true on timing of the "low" BG. I had told Neko's vet yesterday that I had tested before and was going to after we got home. She knows I test a lot so trusted me. Also interesting that my meter was so close to the lab results for a blood draw 1/2 hour later. I also didn't tell him she hit 61 last night.

@Mary - She "only" bounced to low pinks, I guess that's progress. Thanks on the murmur, I know it is something that can be heard at one visit and not the next.
