Hi guys .. hmm, odd on the no edit button being available .. but this sure is a nice start to the day! Have a great day guys!

I once had the same thing happen with the edit button not being there - not sure why that happens. That was a dramatic drop overnight (and good job getting that +5 last night!). Great that she stayed down. Hopefully now that the dose is consistent, she won't bounce and will stabilize.

Didn't Janet say there was a dental in her future?

Yes, and I forgot to mention that she is going to the vet today (new vet) for a check-up and predental evaluation. She and Thor are both scheduled to get dental on Feb 19 assuming all goes according to the plan.

Also +2 was 179, hopefully she will stay in the hundreds all day

You may need to refresh your browser, or enter your username and p-word to get the edit button. I've had to do the latter a few times. Not a bad AMPS this morning for Callie. Good luck with the new vet. Have a great day!

Callie is looking really good! Way to go, Callie!!!! Good luck at the vets! My Spot went last week and had two teeth pulled!

Vet appt went well, she will be having dental on the 19th. Weight is exactly the same as it was 6 weeks ago (not sure if this is good since she went from 12lb to 7.5 over the last year---still 7.5). She shed a lot and sweat a lot (poor kitty!). Apparently our other cat, Thor who is 11yrs old, has worse teeth than her haha. We showed the vet our spreadsheet and tested her there and everything, and she said everything looks good. Apparently on her bloodtest, her fructosamine(??) was mega high. She also said she would clean out Callie's ears during the dental (her ears have been really itching her). She's been in the hundreds all day, hopefully no more bounce...

Fantastic day!

This vet sounds like a big improvement. I tested Tritone at a vet appt. (that was pre-spreadsheet) and while he was very impressed and supportive, he said he probably couldn't get his other clients to test...I said just make it part of the deal when they are diagnosed, and I would be happy to help anyone learn, oh, and by the way, get them on canned food, but he never did. I suspect some vets are simply afraid of losing business. Then there is the lobby full of science diet....

When I saw Callie in early Jan. (I think - right? When I showed you how to test?) she didn't seem alarmingly thin, but she will probably gain weight as she is regulated. 12 pounds was probably too much.

By the way, what was her BG at the vet? I'm wondering how much of a stress bump she had.

Oh yeah she definitely was fat before.

The vet was totally supportive, didn't seem like it was the first time she saw people do home testing and the spreadsheet and everything. She just said that she prefers people to do it themselves like that. Callie's BG was 105 at the vet, her all time low (it was around +7).
