Crap, Whiskers just peed on our bedroom carpet....Again. I would truley love to replace the carpet(to bad we can't afford it), she has gone on it so many times, and it is only 7 year old carpet, not new but not ancient. I use so much anti icky poo I should become a stockholder :lol: Any ideas, thoughts, input on this behavoir would be appreciated grr_red bcatrun_gif

First, she is doing this because she is out of regulation. Attie did the same thing when he would be really, really high. Read the link in my siggy and you'll see where he pee'd on the bed...like flooding the litter box pee'd on the bed.

Second, odor. You have to get rid of the odor. You'll here lots of stuff and claims, but honestly the only thing that has every worked, really worked for me is called Cat Odor Off from Thornell Labs. http://www.thornell.com/products/Cat_Odor_Off-6-2.html It was recommended to my by the Foster Director of our Shelter. I get the concentrate and dilute it as I needed it. Since I am also a pet sitter...I carry some pre-mixed in my truck. Never know when someone needs to go...when they just went!!! :o

You can request some free samples from them too. Their stuff is truly very good when used as directed. Your vet might even carry it too.

The mattress Attie flooded out on, the area near the front door where he "got confused" on a trip back from the vet...

You've got to get the odor out or they will continue to use the carpet as the potty box.

I agree with what Beth said. If there is the slightest trace of odor, you will have a favorite spot for inappropriate elimination. The Zero Odor product is another one that's good. Lisa/Do Lou also have something they use. Lisa is a breeder so she also has to deal with studs spraying. Check with her.

Sorry to hear about the pee on carpet, that has to be frusturating - but at least it can ease the pain when you know it is not behavioral & hopefully just the high #s
Hoping Whiskers comes on down & that you night at work is going good.

I will also check with lisa and DoLou to see what they use. I am hoping to see an improvement when we get her regulated.

Work is good, I'm off in an hour and will check Whiskers BG when I get home.

Jeez, what a terrible day AMPS 543 +2.5 290 went work just got home PMPS 453. Will test BG before bed and post.
