Good Morning, Everyone,

Cold and snowy here this morning (3 degrees F. and 5 inches of new snow--very beautiful). Rusty didn't want to go outside!!! He had a good night sleeping between his beans. He has accepted the fact that his Auntie Lindabean has gone home and is already looking forward to her next visit. I had a pretty good play with him with the crinklesack and wand this morning, even though it wasn't up to the standard set by Linda!

Today will be a day of getting organized for the New Year: paying bills, getting rid of old junk mail, changing Rusty's litter, going to the landfill, etc. Edward is at his first yoga class of the year, and tomorrow I would like to do a 12-mile hike with some friends to Avalanche Lake in the High Peaks. It might be too cold, however (wind chills tonight are supposed to be -30 degrees). We'll see later what's what. Even though it is supposed to warm up to the 20s (above zero), that might take a while with strong winds.

Off now to pick up Edward from his class. Everyone have a good day. We continue to send healing vines to Tifil, Rocket, Sid, and all other kitties and beans who are not feeling well,

and I thought our 17 degrees was cold BRRRR on 3 :o hope you are able to get your hike in sounds like fun and very nice start for Rusty today

Hi Ella, very nice cycle for Rusty. I bet he does miss Linda and sounds like a really nice weekend with her. Brrr...that sure is cold, and I think the kitties want to come play in the snow. I hope you can make the 12 mile hike - I am in awe, as I can't imagine 12 mile hike. That is awesome. Have a nice day.

It's funny that the fresh snow held off until after my visit :lol:
It's COLD here, too. I will be interested to hear if you go on the hike. I will be in awe if you do.
I am glad that Rusty is enjoying his crinkle sack and wand. I sure miss playing with him.

Wonderful on your new snow - I bet it is beautiful! I hope you can do your hike. I am with you - the cold I can deal with, but the winds are another matter - just makes tings that much more difficult. Good luck! I hope it pans out.

I bet Rusty does miss Linda - I hope you studied her play techniques. :-D :lol: She will just have to come back for another visit. I hope she made it home safely. She sure did post some very nice photos on FB the other night. You live in such a beautiful area.

Hi guys .. loving these greens rusty! I don't blame you on not wanting to go out .. sounds like a day for napping on the radiator! Brrr 3 degree is downright silly! I hope you can go on your hike, with all that snow it would probably be beautiful .. have a great day guys!

Oh I didn't realize Linda was Linda and Bear Man!!!! Beautiful picture of Rusty, he looks like a lynx with those little tufts sticking up from his little ears. what a sweetie!

It sounds like winter has finally arrived where you are! It's darn near spring weather here, above freezing everyday, no snow. Usually we are around -20C at this time of year! :o

Hi again,
I decided not to go on the hike. It's going down to -15 or -20 F. tonight, and tomorrow the wind is supposed to be fierce. If it were a shorter hike/snowshoe, I would go, but 12 miles is 12 miles! I tried out my new snowshoes in the backyard, and if it warms up by tomorrow afternoon I may go try them out on a trail.

Rusty is having a GREEN day. We played some more with the crinklesack and wand, and he has spent a lot of time next to the radiator. The high today was +6 F. Edward and I got some of the chores done, but I left the hard part (paying bills) for tomorrow!

What a great run of numbers for Rusty today!!! Hope it continues!!

I can't even fathom living in an area with temperatures that cold all winter long!! brrrr. I don't even know how to drive in snow!!! It sure is beautiful, though!!!!

Look at these beautiful numbers Rusty Boy!! Ella, Tell these peeps how fresh & clean the brisk cold air is!
We are having like 21 degrees now wind chill of 8!--OK that's a little chilly, but if you dress warm, & have a nice warm house, it is just fine :mrgreen: Oh alright I love the spring too!
But I do like the cold as well.
Rusty looks so handsome in his sack!!-Linda is such a good Auntie.
Think Rusty has found his dose-Congrats--Have a beautiful night--UCK hate the paperwork & bills!

Still waiting for Ol' Man Winter to show up here. I'm new to hiking and was impressed that you even considered a hike in weather like that. Is that a new picture of Rusty that's in his condo? Handsome boy. Love the feathery fur. I'll be interested to read your postings about your hikes. Happy New Year and hugs to Rusty.

Bev, Linda (Bear Man) took that picture on New Year's Day. She visited us for the holiday weekend.
