Yesterday Neko has been remarkably consistent the last few days. 3 AMPS in a row practically the same.

1/2 Recap:
AMPS 108 +7 192 +9.5 127
PMPS 129 +5 142 +9 153

Neko's been almost all blue since the beginning of the year and even the 31st. I'm do love all blues, but would like a little green. Patience pants are feeling a little tight. I'm fine if Neko would decide all blues was her thing, but without some green, she bounces higher than I'd like.

It's another gray day (but dry), so the cat bed by my feet has a purry black and white girl in it. Otherwise all quiet in the house. The neighbourhood school has a tree chip up today so I see trees going by, but it's too early to take the tree down in this house.

It's a day of conflicting emotions. Tears of sadness for Kristen and Lilly on the passing of Calley. Hopeful excitement that Dyana may find another soul to love.

I would love and be happy with Neko's "bounce" We leave our tree up for another 2 weeks and especially the lights outside- it's way too gray for me!

It is the circle of life isn't it- T Hanks and Sweet Calley!

I like Neko's consistency better than Cinco's! I'd take all blues any day! We beans are never satisfied, are we? :joyful:

I always find it depressing when the tree comes down. There's so much excitement and anticipation when you're putting it up. What is there to look forward to when you take it down? Clogging up your vacuum with pine needles? Trying to get the lights back in their box, or at least to not have them get all tangled up? A long January, with fun things like income taxes looming ahead? Bleah. It may be sunny here in Northern CA (but cold), but it all seems gray and dreary to me. Good thing we didn't have a tree this year, isn't it?;)

Neko, is there a green in your near future? We want to see you in the lagoon!

I love taking down the tree as much as putting it up. I like putting all the ornaments back into their little box-homes and getting to admire each one again, remembering the year that we got it or made it, and often remembering the person who made it. I'll admit that the lights are a challenge, however!

Have a good evening, Wendy, Keep warm!

Hugs, scritches,

Neko's still hovering on shore. She has her visit to the dental specialist on Wednesday, so I'd like it if she just kept on hovering in blues. Last time she had a dental, she went diving to the bottom of the lagoon. Not sure if she'll have anything done - main purpose of the visit is to see if dental vetty can take a look at her excess gum growth, which does seem to be bugging her a bit when she eats.

@ Ruth, Tricia, Carla, Ella - Neko doesn't usually do just flat blues without drifting to yellow. I'll keep an eye on her - she'll get an increase if yellow becomes a habit. Our neighbourhood still has lots of house lights on so it's still bright and I noticed a number of trees up, but not sure if they are real like ours. DH put most of the ornaments up this year, including a bunch we inherited from his mom's place, so they do bring back memories. Rain outside has shape to it!

Vyktor had masses of excess gum growth removed from both sides of his jaw at his last dental. Apparently it was so bad that he would have been biting into it while eating and was caused by the nasty infection and condition of his teeth and mouth. Maybe Neko's has also arisen due to something else going on in her mouth...

I don't do a tree, I have two decorative baubles - one with Vyktor's name on it and one with Meg's and I hang those from a light in the lounge. Before that I had a small cactus that I used to put a little tinsel on - not such a Christmas spirit kind of gal - which is pretty lucky given the way I am with the house keeping - if I put a tree up it the stick would probably still be there five years later!

Hope you're having a great day :)

Serryn - Yikes on Vyktor's mouth! Good thing it could be fixed. Neko's soft tissue growth is likely due to the excess grown hormone put out by her acromegaly tumour. Last year she was grinding her teeth and her upper canine was wearing into the gum, so the vet filed back the canine so it no longer rubbed. Anyway, in the fall this year, she started doing her tooth grinding noises again and the regular vet took at look at could see the growth, now on the other side. I can't imagine there'd be many Xmas trees put up in Oz. Do you still have Meg?

I think it would be nice if Neko stays in low blue with perhaps a little touch of high green until after the dental. You don't want her to go too low before the dental I would think. Have a nice night!

Ugh - first fur shot of 2015! I thought it was fine, but she was resting on the "wrong" side when I shot. Then I went to pet her and got wet fingers.:oops:

@ Elise, Liz - Yup, blue is my favorite too, with just a touch of green. Won't be seeing that for a few cycles now. At her last dental, I gave her 1/4 dose and she got to the equivalent of 78 on the Alphatrak at the vetty - roughly 56.
