Last night was a nice blue cycle on Libre. Especially after the vet visit yesterday. Ivy slept the entire afternoon recovering from her sedation.
She should feel better today with sedation out of her system.
Hoping for more blues and maybe even some greens? She hit a nadir last night around +4.75 of 105 on Libre (higher on a handheld meter).

On another note, we were using a supplement called Pan Chelate, which has been discontinued. Does anyone use a different pancreas support supplement they recommend? I see Standard Process makes one, I do like their products.
Waiting for a recommendation from the vet as well….

I don't know much about supplement other than psyllium powder - I'm sure others can chime in.

Hi Kit, she does seem to like more blue lately. I like that!
Maybe I will post in the main forum about the supplement. Just thought of that. Duh.

Thank you, Diane. She felt so much better today. Even a cozy sun bath. She looked so much happier. Once she got steady today it went smoothly. The first few hours were good numbers, but a little worrying when you don’t know how fast they will drop.

What is the supplement you're giving Ivy for the pancreas? I haven't been giving anything for Fistuk's pancreatitis. Would love to learn about that.
When I googled Pan Chelate I found something similar by thorn research. It's a vitamin brand I trust. Use them a lot for myself. Perhaps you can have a look.
I don't buy vitamin especially for pets if they're the same for human. I'll buy human quality wand give the right dose. Don't know if you do the same.

Hi Shelly, yep I have the same philosophy as you do. If I must buy pet meds ok. But prefer human grade if possible.
I really like Thorne as well. I use their Vitamin D drops for myself.
When I get an answer from my vet on what we will use going forward, I will definitely let you know. The brand was Progressive Laboratories, a human med. But now discontinued :(
I’ve been waiting for vet’s answer for almost 2 weeks now, getting annoyed. She said she called them but they didn’t return her call. I called them myself yesterday. They told me they have no replacement product. Arg…. :banghead:
