Good morning everyone! Hope everyone has a great day.

Xander had a hairball yesterday morning and his appetite was a bit low. He didn't seem to show signs of nausea so I gave a tiny dab of mirataz and his appetite picked up. I requested a refill from the vet to have on hand. I feel bad having to use frequently lately to get him to eat well, but if it works

Weirdly this morning I found a tiny bit of liquid throw up with hair mixed in. I wonder if the heater running so much and drying everything out is affecting how much hair he's ingesting. Thinking of trying the egg yolk powder out again soon now that I have it on hand, just don't want to mess with his appetite too much with changes.

We generally have a rule of no cats in the bed, but last night he was particularly needy because of the cold and laid with me a while. Too cute to kick him out

I think that if a little mirataz keeps him eating, it's well worthwhile - not something to feel guilty about! Stay warm, both of you.

Hmm I think I found my first defective can of fancy feast tonight. I opened it up and thought it looked a bit grey. I almost served it but decided to open up another can to make sure and it was a night and day difference between the two.

I'm really good at inspecting the cans for dents and didn't see anything wrong this can, but it appears that it was somehow exposed to air with the top layer very oxidized.
