Tiggy came down into blues last night and back up into yellows today. Got a dose increase too.

Heres the thing.. With Bailey he has a nice curve, you give him insulin he comes down. it wears off, he goes back up. Like its supposed to.

I am looking at Tiggys numbers and he doesnt seem to do that.. He goes up and down but it seems unrelated to the insulin timing. What does this mean? Is he bouncing so fast that its hiding the curve? Is the dose still too low?

Hopefully others will weight in with theories, but I suspect it has something to do with the size of the dose.

Seems like cats on smaller dose may see more movement while the larger dose may be more steady.

Most likely the larger the dose the larger the depot? Like the cruise ship, it's harder to turn? The depot has more control of things?

This question may also have something to do with how Lantus precipitates, differently in different sized deposits?

All you need do is get Tiggs into the right range and then flatter is better.

Its weird though - his pee patches are still small... even though his Bg is fairly high. Suppose thats a good thing.

I just tested myself with his meter 4.2. Nothing wrong with it.. and now my thumb hurts! lol

Mostly below the renal threshold is good and = small pee patches.

That flat blue is just fine.

Not looking bad at all.
