ooh so close to a nice green start.

She was green all day yesterday apart from amps and pmps (the latter I'm putting down to next door's garderner!!). I fed her at +5.5 last night which is normal but she ate more than normal - wondering if that helped the amps??
Who knows - CATS :!:

All cats have pooped, peed, played and are now resting after their exertions

I wonder if Honey will be back in greens for pmps - she usually does but you never know.

Just had a major scarf & barf with Monster.
He's on FF kitten food to try to put weight on and about 10 mins after eating, while all snuggled up on my bed :cry: , he barfed big-time!

  • All over the sheet and so the mattress cover
    All over the quilt cover
    All over the sheet I put on top of that for them to lie on which they never do
    All down 1 side of the bedframe
    And half-way down the stairs

I've got bowls full of bedding in soak, the washing machine on, carpet cleaners out...Honey is looking confused and none too happy with this level of activity in the afternoon.
I think she wishes Monster was back at the spa (I 131 center) and would stay there :roll:

Kitten food may be too high in fat hence the scarf-and-barf. You might be better off feeding Monster more of his regular food.

Could you put a note on your SS about the gardener most likely scaring Honey? I'd like to see a few more days with Honey in good numbers and then consider a trial.

Back to the greens - yay!
If she doesn't eat around +4/+5, her numbers seem to go higher later in the cycle. But, she's put on quite a bit of weight so I don't want her to eat to much.
Very tricky.

Monster had the kitten food a little later - just a tsp with water - and threw-up again!
So that's out now. I gave him some raw turkey with pre-mix and he was fine.

Sienne - I added a note re:the gardener to the ss.
We may be looking at a trial starting Friday pm/Saturday am as DH is taking kids away and wants me to go to - first time since Honey dx. He's going on the Friday but I could wait until Sat am and drive down separately - haven't decided yet.

One thing to consider is that once a kitty's pancreas starts working, food will help to bring numbers down. The food acts to stimulate the pancreas to produce its own insulin. As a result, numbers will drop. With cats that are getting close to an OTJ trial, small frequent meals can help to keep numbers low.

Any chance that the kitten food is beef or fish? Beef and fish are the two food varieties that many cats are allergic to. Any time I've given Gabby beef, she vomits.

ok, I'll come clean.
I bought 2 type of kitten food - chicken and fish (eek).

He had the chicken yesterday with no problem, today's was the fish.
He does eat other fish brands occassionally with no problems.


Honey said a big thank you regarding the frequent meals (she skipped over the 'small' part) :-D
