Yesterday

We woke up a little earlier than usual this morning and I found myself surrounded by four hungry cats. Everyone had to wait until I tested Mally so I had a trail of cats following me up and down the hall. Testing time came and Mally was right behind me until she saw the blue towel I usually wrap her in for her tests. She looked at me, looked at the towel, and did an immediate about face and started heading in the other direction. Too funny! She ate a good breakfast and spent some time grooming herself this morning. I think she's trying to clean the neosporin off her ear from her test this morning. :smile: She was a bit frisky this morning after I gave her her shot - playing and batting at my hand. All is well in Mally's world.

Hi Chris,

Looks like it is going to be a good day for Mally. Even though she started the day off with a pink, it looks like she is coming down nicely. I, myself, don't understand the phenomenon of why the same dose does almost nothing during one cycle, but the next cycle you can see major drops. I think that is one reason I am so freaked out about leaving Sami alone.

Hope you get to see some green today. Sami is in the green now, and we hope to see some more before the day is out.

Hi Tina! Mally did come down a bit more in the past two hours and is now in the green numbers. I guess because her liver is still getting used to all of this, we typically get some higher numbers right after a nice surf of low numbers. But, she seems to recover from these rebounds pretty well. Today she went from pink to blue to green in a space of five hours. She likes her little treats after each test so I give her the freeze dried chicken and she gobbles it up.

Looks like I'll be getting some hourly tests on her just to see where she goes with this dose.

First of all... funny oregano covered kitty, hahaha!! I clicked on the pix to see all that catnip, too funny on a white kitty!

Next, oooo, nice numbers today and Mally doesn't bounce too hard, that's a good thing... actually it is great! I hope that trend continues.
Lastly... your dose is still .75u right? It wasn't on your SS. Just checking. :-D

Smacks head! For some reason I keep neglecting to put her dose info on the SS when I put her morning numbers in. Thanks for pointing that out to me. I did it several times before and didn't even notice it. She's still on the .75. :smile:

Looks like today Mally prefers to surf in the greens. She ate her dinner just after her +8 test so she'll have food on board when I test her again. She had food out all day as usual and she had some freeze dried chicken in between tests as a treat.

We enjoyed the green day today. Mally's numbers typically go up during her PM cycle but I'm not taking anything for granted. There's definitely something in the air around here today so I'll get a few checks in before I go to be and see where we're at.

Very nice day for Mally. It seems that those greens are going around today. Gotta love them.

Always expect the unexpected. Mally's numbers usually go up during her PM cycle, but not tonight. She was just 69 at her +4 test, but she's eating her late night meal so I suspect the number will go up a little bit if I test in an hour. I guess I'll be setting the alarm several times tonight. :smile:

Up a little bit since her last test because she ate. Guess I'll set the alarm and get another test in an hour.

Nice surf going! You could probably wait 2 hours to test again if you wanted as long as food is out. Was a fair rise from +4 to +5.
