Hope someone at home does a test soon.

We have another patient, another lab, that might have eaten a foreign body. I also took a phone call this morning about a dog eating a rag. Two weeks ago, we also had a lab stay the weekend who passed an avocado pit. Almost had to do surgery because he hadn’t been eating for three days.

Sometimes I think I want a dog and then I remember that dogs are trouble (sometimes) :rolleyes:

Edit: I’ve been using World’s Best Cat litter but it doesn’t really help with the smell. Ming’s poop stinks!!!!!!! Im thinking of adding baking soda in the litter... anyone try that? Is it okay to use?
 
Baking soda might produce a lot of dust since it is a very fine powder. World's Best makes a number of different litters, some intended for multiple-cat households, that might provide better odor control. I've used the original World's Best for more than 9 years and find it provides superb odor control (no problems with Stu, Rusty, or now Gus). But Ming may be in a class by himself!

Yeah I bought the red one which if I remember correctly is the multiple cat one. But maybe I’ll try the others first!

He saw greens earlier on this dose, so you would hang onto it a while to see if he comes back to them. Up to 10 cycles total. I doubt he went green today, but there's always tonight!

Your stories of the labs reminds me of friends and their lab. She likes to eat rocks. :rolleyes: One year she twice had to have surgery. I joked they should put in a zipper. Fortunately both pet parents are vets.

As for the litter and smell, maybe try another type of LC? It should be less smelly on raw. The quality of what you put in affects what comes out. Is he getting any probiotics? Or digestive enzymes? Just wondering if he's not properly digesting his food.
 
Yeah, I don't think he went green either and I'm glad in the hope that he doesn't bounce too much the next cycle.

Glad the parents are vets for such a naughty doggy ahah. I wonder if rocks are tasty. I've never eaten rocks. I mean... that's the only reason I can think of as to why a dog would eat rocks lol!

I've been trying to be more regular about giving him SEB but my mom sometimes forgets or I forget during snack time. I have florastor.. maybe I should start giving that regularly in his PS meals?

Took it about 15 mins before the hour because Ming started sleeping, snoring, WITH HIS EYES OPEN LOL. He's been doing that quite a lot lately, sleeping with his eyes slightly open

Hmmmmmm...... hoping he's not bouncing and maybe it's a food spike. I fed him after his +2 test because he was annoying me for food.
