Good afternoon! Healing vines to JD, Boots, Noni, Mannie, Moonie, Do Lou, Zener, Ripley, Bubba and get well to Liz, Anne, Carla, and PF's mamabean, Donna.

Missy G is going to get more joose tonight. Hear that Lil Brown Girl? She has been super playful and funny today, eating well, hammering on Tobey, purr purr purr. She woke me up at +8 when she jumped off the bed and vomited some liquidy food with chicken treats in it. Gracie is not a throw uppy cat but having many cats over the years, I realize that sometimes cats just throw up. Still, with her ALT elevated, I wonder if it's just her being a cat or something to do with her liver. Time will tell....we are ever so vigilant so if it happens again, I'll have her back to the vetty for an earlier blood test than we had planned. I am very hopeful that because she's been romping around here like a wild crazy baby today that it's just because she's a cat. We went btw after T/F/S and as I drifted back off to sleep, I felt her climb on top of my side and she was giving me a lovely massage. I opened my eyes and she was weaving back and forth like Stevie Wonder at the piano singing his head off      And purr motor so loud I'm surprised it didn't wake up Tobey and Gus.

I'm doing chores. Hope you are all having a great day. See you back here later.

Gracie, time to come down a little faster. The threat is out there!

Gracie is so considerate to jump off the bed before throwing up. I hope it was flooring and not carpet. I'm definitely seeing less of those with the coconut oil on board.

Re: 1/27 Gracie AMPS 261 +4 274

I hope Gracie is just being a cat and there is no more vomit. Good luck with the dose increase tonight.

Re: 1/27 Gracie AMPS 261 +4 274

Hi Marje

good luck with the new dose. Hope it brings things down to where you want them.

Bummer on the pukus, hopefully it's just Gracie being a cat. Paws crossed.

Hope you had fun with those chores... same here. Jury is still out on whether it was fun or not.

Hi Marje,
Me too, what Wendy said. Good of Gracie to jump off bed before heaving, and hope it wasn't carpet. :-D

Flat yellow but she still got a dose increase.

Great photo, Rhiannon!

Oh yeah....it was on the carpet. I'd rather it had been in the bed because it was Mike's side

Good luck with Gracie's increase!

Oh man, if any of our cats upchucked on DH's side of the bed, then ALL animals would probably be forever banned from the bed

Love the Stevie Wonder impression!

Have a great night!

   Gracie, I hope your tummy is feeling better. And let's see some better numbers, 'k?
Liz

Hi Marje. I hope Gracie likes her new dose and the throwing up episode was just a cat being a cat. The Stevie Wonder analogy was funny.

Have a great evening.

  I can just imagine Gracie doing her Stevie Wonder impression!  Hope there's no more pukus and that you got all your chores done.

That's an impressive increase.

I think getting up to a good dose may reduce the diving once you flatten out and quash the bouncing.

Alas... sometimes it seems the human depot insulin's seem to precipitate more of a counter-regulatory response than they are able to effectively and/or efficiently squelch.
I dunno. But I do know when I have her dose at the highest she's ever been, she bounces only into blue. But it is a difficult thing to keep her that high and be testing and feeding so much. I think her pancreas often decided to produce endogenous insulin and she'd be surfing along nice and flat and then dip down for no apparent reason.....unless it is as Sienne says, "because she is a cat".
Interesting comment about the blue. That is what I thought as well. It's like the flat yellow surf turns into flat blue. The wonkiness and bounces just really don't seem to have a chance to get going.

I agree about feeling the need for more carbs/calorie to perhaps offset the increased appy.

So far Chip has never had the infamous Gracie 5/08/12 cycle I've been watching for. In fact he's only dropped below 40 twice ever.
