Hi Everyone, and happy Caturday,

Rusty had a good night, good test, good shot, breakfast (first sitting), a nap in his little bed by the radiator, and is about to eat his second sitting (maybe). I have to run to the post office before it closes, so I'll be back later. Hope all is well in LL.

Ella: I like the way Rusty tells the kitties that it is "cold".
You, on the other hand give us the actual temperature!! :lol:
I told my two that they needed to wear every piece of clothng in the closet AND wrap the down comforters around them if they are going up north to celebrat the full moon with you guys!!
Maybe i can fill a hot water bottle for the each of them too....
my poor Florida kitties....they have that cheap Florida blood....brrrrrrrrrr.......

Hi again,

Rusty didn't care much for his breakfast (Wellness Chicken), but just polished off his lunch of FF T&G and also ate a little Merrick's 96% turkey (which he likes sometimes, and other times not). He is basking in the sunshine that is filling our living room. We just had a good combing. Yesterday I made a vetty appointment for him for Wednesday afternoon. He has lost about 7 ounces since early December and I want to get him checked out. We had been halfheartedly trying to get him to lose some weight last summer, but not since then. In early Dec. he weighed 16 lbs., 14 oz. He now weighs 16 lbs., 7 oz. Last year at this time he weighed 16 lbs. 11 oz. This past summer and early fall he weighed 17 lbs (visibly too much!). The first time he was weighed (in Feb. 2011) after we adopted him he weighed 15 lbs. 8 oz. In June of 2011 he had gained over a pound: 16 lbs., 11 oz. I'm in the middle of writing down all of his weights so that I can summarize for the vet on Wednesday. In general he seems to have fluctuated between 16 lbs. 14 oz. and 16 lbs. 9 oz.. Maybe the whole thing is just seasonal, or "Rustyal".

In going over my spreadsheets I see that Rusty has a history of eating much better overnight than during the day, and also often just nibbling at his food. Some days are good appetite days and others not. It is instructive to have this record!

Yay on another great day for Rusty. :mrgreen:

Checkers will be wearing his puffy down jacket and long pants, waiting for Mannie to pick him up for the trip to Camp Stu. :-D
I wish I could tell who ate what overnite here. Everybody eats out of each other's dishes. :smile:

interesting on the weight. Maybe it's just Rusty being Rusty. Could be a normal fluctuation for him. Best to have it checked out, to make sure.

I hope things have warmed up some for you guys. We have a little, only to return to the rainy all day long weather. I can't decide if I'd rather be frozen, or soaked. :lol: :lol: I hope the post office walk was nice.

Another lovely day in the lagoon. It looks like Rusty will be the perfect host for the party. Neko's been sorting through the fleece and quilts to see which is warmest. I've noticed seasonal patterns in Neko's weight, but always thought it corresponded with how much she went outside.

Nice to hear your friend will be able to rebuild the boat business.

Rusty, I'z the same as you. Maybe we can tread water together? ~Neko

Hi kitties, The fire is going in the fireplace, the Full Wolf Moon is beginning to rise through the clouds. It is cold, but the cabin is cozy. I'm waiting for the kitty bus to arrive. Skis and sleds, snowshoes and skates are ready, the ice is good and we will be able to drill holes for fishin', the grill is set to go, and I've a pot of hot tuna toddies on the stove. See you all soon!

Hi Ella, Good vetty vines coming at you for sweetie pie Rusty. I hope his weight fluctuation is just because he's a cat. I"m sure your good record keeping will help his Dr. Recording weight, what he eats and when is such a good idea and good information to have. I've gotten so many good, sensible ideas from your Condos.. thank you.

Rusty, this party is sooooooo much fun. I never had to wear a hat with ear muff before. I might look a little goofy, but i'm toasty warm!! WHOO HOO! That moon is beautiful. oliver
 
Hi Beans,

The Full Wolf Moon is high and very bright on the snow. It looks like daylight outside. Temp. here is around Zero, so I suspect at camp it is about that, too. Don't worry about your furkids. Mannie will get them all home safely.

The LagoonMeister is ice fishin' in the lake tonight--no surfing!! And wearing his hat as Sous chef, Grill Specialist, he is getting those fish ready for the grill. Kitties are having a ball. Chef Mannie has outdone himself with that menu. The Kitty Chorus will be singing under Moonie's direction at the stroke of midnight.
 
Nicely done today LagoonMeister! A party is good excuse to take a break! Good luck at the vetty visit. That isn't too big a variation in weight. How does he look?
