Well Moonie is in room 222 again! Her ear had all scabs & hair debris coming off it last night & I had a hard time getting blood!!!! She's black eared so it's hard to see what's what! SNOWING HERE!!! angry(2)_cat grr_red angry(2)_cat grr_red grumpy_cat --Enough already! 4-8"expected by tomorrow!
Poor Baby she just grins & bears it--So sweet!--I also found a Feline Acne bump which looks raw under her chin(I was scratching her chin last nite), so I treated it with antibacterial wash that I use & will see where that goes..Definitely gave her a full 0.75 dose so we will see where that goes too.
Trying to save her ears today, but will need to monitor--Hope she comes down somewhat & a nice green would be ideal!

OT-I was absent yesterday as I was doing a radio show--It maybe on you tube today..
Gosh, so many ill furbabies--I am praying for all their Full Recoveries!!!-

I just want to thank you for keeping all the snow where you are. :thumbup

Sorry about Moonie's ears. Have you taken a strong light to them to see the areas of inflammation? Maverick's are extra red too - like bruising/where the blood is through the ear (hard to describe). Keeping them slathered with polysporin triple antibiotic ointment. It seems to help a lot. He really flinched this morning and I couldn't get blood from it. And he kept trying to paw at it which is something he never does.

Hope the acne clears up. Maverick has some spots on his chin from his asthma mask. I haven't researched how to deal with this.

And we are OFF!!!! Already put a can of HC near her testing spot in preparation :lol: :lol: --Guess we will see some green today :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Look at That GREEN!!! :mrgreen: --Fed her 1 tsp lc with few drops of HC gravy just to keep her on the surfboard--
Happy to see green today & I am snowed in! :roll: -At least I have all the strips,food,karo, and time :lol: :lol: :lol:

Hi Roni, I'm glad we drove home yesterday! Enjoy your latest storm!! I hope that Moonie's ears will improve. They sound icky. Check in with you again later. Hope Moonie has a nice, safe surf.

p.s. The thought just occurs to me that salt water is very healing on acne and maybe would be on Moonie's ears, too. You don't have to go down to the beach to get some (!), just make up a weak solution of salt and water and gently dab it on her ears and acne with a cue tip, or a gauze pad. I use it if I feel I'm getting a gum sore and it works every time. Edward had a weird skin condition once (long ago) and we happened to go to the beach and it had cleared up by the next day: it was the salt water. Now we keep a salt shaker in the medicine cabinet.

Look at this beautiful surf!!! Fed her a tsp LC & drops of HC gravy again & it seems to be sustaining her!!! WHOO HOOO Who knew this would be such a good day??

Moonie has had feline acne for a very long time on & off--I use hibiclens which is an antimicrobial, antiseptic skin cleaner that has worked for us--Old vet had suggested( it's like betadine but is a soap that you must dilute a drop w/water & wash right off) Moonie knows this as Washee Washee & lets me do it with some degree of noise making :lol:
But lets see how this goes--Moonie is drinking a lot today--Guess that HC gravy does it for her! Looks like a good day! :mrgreen:

Moonie is enjoying a nice ride!! Great surf today!!--Went to test her at +6 & off she went & hid from me-silly girl!! As she has been eating from her plate her usual LC since I tested her earlier, I let her do her thing, as she was keeping herself surfing!! Now at 82, LOOKING GOOD!
This is the gentle lantus curve we all seek! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Evening--Moonie had a decent amount for dinner & is now down for a nap!
Weather here is horrid-Rain, snow sleet, & hail--Feel like the mailman :lol: :lol: :lol: Snow thunder too & it's a Noreaster!! 8-12" by tomorrow!!YYUUCCKK!!!
Maybe we'll see some green tonite??
 
Great numbers today! Her ear is pretty beat up so I put some vaseline on it & hope that will soften it up-
Lovely surf all day--Boy I am thankful!
