I wasn't sure at the time when the vet let me reduce the does by 0.5, however her numbers were not bad with the 1U. She ate at least 18 oz food today, and is crying for more, how much can she eat?
Mao has taken flagyl for a week, it seemed that it had worked for her poo problem at the beginning because she had stopped pooping so many times a day after taking the medication, then she pooped lot again. I have to bring her to the vet to find out what the problem really is, also need help for taking care of the oil thing.

the small fancy feast cans are 3 oz....
Did Mao eat 6 cans?

My 13 lb girl eats about 1/4 of a 3 oz can every 4 hours in a 24 hour cycle.
 
She has started eating a lot since she had diabetes. She seems starving all the time. Today she ate one 13.2 oz Evo chicken & turkey, and 8 oz nature's variety duck. Maybe that's why she pooped lot. 5oz was enough for her before the illness.
 
Nice cycle today for Mao. The 1U seems to be working well for her so far.

That is a lot of food she is eating. Are you giving her several small meals? I found that helped with the hunger. I also add water to thin it down and that seems to slow down the eating and fill them up a bit. My Neko gets raw food, and she eats is 1/4 lb a day and she's a bit over 14 lbs. I really should cut down the amount because she is gaining weight. It's a good idea to weigh them every week or two until they get better regulated.
