I hope everyone had a great Caturday. Mine was good, not my usual laid back relaxing Caturday. Busy yet again! We were very busy with the new pool opening in Snohomish, and it was another back home way late. The new pool is great! it is a bit of a drive for us to get there: 40 minutes by freeway, but we ay still consider it for our pool roster. I really liked the feel of the place: very open, with alot of natural light that comes in. Alot of the exterior walls are glass, which really opens the place up. We spent the day there. I was grateful for sunny skies and a temp of 51. We were able to eat lunch outside in the sun, and even squeezed some outdoor play time in for Nicholas and William. I'm sorry I missed so many of you yesterday. Here's what I wrote in last night's condo: "Hi everyone! I hope your day was a great one. We had such fun today at the new pool. What a GORGEOUS facility!!! Huge crowd, lots of people showed, lines waiting to get in for the open swim at 3. We were 10th in line - WOot! It was really nice to see so many people there. I heard nothing but a great praise from everyone. I thought that their pricing was a little high, Cost me $20.00 to get all four of us in. I will have to check that out. That flow rider is really awesome - so fun to watch people use the boogie broads, etc, Really fun! The only semi "issue" I had was that the beach area is a bit short, the water slide exits a few feet from the edge. In that regard prefer Lynnwood set up: wider beach, long slide exit. Nicholas was too short to use the water cannons - he couldn't reach them. Minor things for sure. Nice hot tub but they won't let the kids under 7 in it - huge disappointment for the little guy.We use that option all the time at the Lynnwood Pool, as well as many other parents with their kids. it was nice to see the family rooms, but found that they were really way too big. NICE (!), but way too big. They had four, and if they had halved the size, still leaving a good sized one they could hvae upped that to 8. Nicholas had the best of times today. William got to go swim too! He seems tom liek the water as much as Nicholas does.   we really had a great time, in what is truly a very nice facility. A very successful opening for them today. Now I so hope the community supports it, and that the aquatics people there support the needs of the community." What a great day! Swimming in Snohomish ROCKS!

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   The kitties were GOOD kitties yesterday, even Lola. Well, sorta on Lola.... Lola will always be Lola. I have no clue what they did all day yesterday,a s I was gone for most of it.... There was NO EVIDENCE of any mischievousness either! I came home to three angelic faces, who just wanted fuds, and a few leg rubs. HUH? Where were my crazy kitties? and I was late again.... home at 7, so once again, like yesterday, they were waiting at the top of the stairs, with those angelic faces, but also holding that blood oath.... well..... there was this one thing.... and of course it is Lola.....  :-x  When Nicholas, William, and Erin arrived, Nicholas was so excited that he ran up to the house, through open the front door. I hadn't heard them come, short of his running up th stairs, looking for me, or I would have met them at the front door. Erin was still getting William out of the car. So..... that left the front door wide open.   Little Miss Lola saw that as a golden opportunity and flew out the front door. oh wow.... so there she is running all over the front yard, up and down tree trunks, climbing climbing climbing, and jumping down, all at warp speed. wow on that! :? It took a while for me to catch her.    Crazy cat! I really am leery of letting her be an outdoor kitty - she just doesn't come when called, stay in her yard, or play by the kitty house rules.  ! I so need a contained catio! Yupp! Normalcy in MusketeerVille.

Have a great day everyone! I'm not too sure what will be here today. An out and about for sure, but I think it will be local... to the shore if it isn't too cold, or wet, out there. Looks like maybe the sun will shine some today. WooHOO!

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN cat_pet_icon

Michelle,

What a beautiful facility. Looks like William is taking to the water and will be quite the swimmer just like Nicholas. Both boys are adorable.

Terri

Hi Michelle!
What a nice place! Nicholas is such good swimmer and I'm glad to see that William is being introduced to the water early. I think that is so important. Nicholas is turning into such a little man and William is getting so big. Those kids are going to have a great childhood with all the places they are exposed to. Glad to hear the kitties are doing well. I can just picture you trying to catch Miss Lola in the front yard. I've done it myself. Have a great day Michelle!
Jan

Hi Michelle,
It sounds like a great and fun time was had yesterday by all, and what a beautiful pool and surroundings, too, with the park for the kids. That sure is a nice option if you don't mind the extra distance. I see how large the rooms are there. Is there much of a wait time for a room? It looks like little William is really taking nicely to the water wanting to join in with the fun with Nicholas. Great pictures and videos of both boys, too, and also Erin with little William.
Oh no on Lola enjoying her freedom with the outdoors. I dare not let Katie out, as I think I'd have the same problem. Glad you caught her.
Thank you Elsa for the Triple Espresso today and all the pizzas this week, and big thanks from my neighbors, too.
Have a great shore walk today, Michelle.

Maybe you should consider buying a big butterfly net?

LOLA...Come back here!!!

Wonderful place for swimming! Wish we had even 1 indoor pool around here. Closest one is 30 miles away but only caters to the "senior" crowd. I might be getting old, but I'm not quiet ready for the 80 and up crowd! They do offer a nice variety of "senior-friendly" exercise classes in the pool though

Hope you have a great Sunday! You always seem to make the best of whatever you do, so I'm sure you will!!

Crazy Lola. I bet she was thrilled to get outisde. I can just see her doing everything at warp speed. I'm glad you were able to get her back inside eventually. That's great you have another pool to add to your list since Nicholas loves the water so much. I hope you got a walk in today.

Oh my gosh, I'm glad you managed to catch that warp speed Lola! bcatrun_gif . That's always been my fear, that the door will be left open by accident  . Sounds like a fun day otherwise, at the pool. I hope that sun showed up that you were looking for, Michelle :-D

Very awesome pool! I had to show DH, since he is a pretty serious swimmer. While he doesn't need the toys, he wishes we had those options around here...indoor pools for lap swimming are hard to come by, and the bulk of them requires a hefty membership fee.

Oh, Lola...I have to agree - she's just way too curious and adventurous to be outside. I'm sure she had a blast trying to not get caught, but I'm glad you were finally able to reign her in! I'm way too scared to let my guys out...we live on a busy street, have crazy neighbors, etc.

Have a great night, Michelle!

Hi everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. I have spent mine just being mellow, hanging out, and I made myself swear to stay of the computer for the entire day. That felt so odd  .... but it did give me some time just to "recover" from four very busy days with the boys. I did take a walk to the shore mid afternoon, when the fogs are lifted some. Shore was nice, foggy, but nice. Fog really didn't clear until about 3, when we got a few moments of sunshine, and then back to the foggy once again. sheshhhh.... and cold. 38 out there when I came home, down to the low 30's during the night tonight. Looks like more of the same for tomorrow. Yahoo? I will post the link to the Picassa photos from today in tomorrows condo .

Hi Terri! THX for the visit. Yes, it is a gorgeous facility - i really enjoyed the time spent there, There is something for just about everyone. SO it seems on William - a swimmer in the making.

Hi Jan - thanks for the visit to you too! Yupp on both boys. We started Nicholas early too, but not as early as it was yesterday with William. He seemed to really enjoy being wet, and playing in the water. THX so much on the comments on their childhood. we sure do try, and to incorporate with all this some learning. Oh yes on Lola - that was so FUN!. not.

Hi Ann - It was so fun,and the pool is so nice!!! To have park do close too was such a good deal. Yes too on the rooms. Timing is everything if one wants one of those rooms... sometimes at his regular pool we have waited to get one. 10 minutes can seem like forever to a 3 yer old. sometimes there is no wait. William so far seems to really like it too. It was so nice that mom could come and and see Nicholas do his thing in the pool. I think you may be right on Katie, should she ever get a taste of the outdoors. Lola is so crazy when she manages to get out. :o :o
Auntie Ann - you are so welcomes. I will show at your doorstep, every day. I LUBS you! and your neighbors! ~~ Elsa, KBP

Hi Chris - OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Yes!! a butterfly net - that would work! I could then snag her id-air! yes yes yes!! that animation is too fun, and ever so true. That was/is Lola! Faster than fast! and she would not stop or sit still. I finally nabbed her when she was contemplating that treat bag I had in my hand. oh yes on the pool yesterday - it is a wonderful place. oh wow on your closest pool. and the senior crowd. I may be getting up there too, but am so not ready for the 80 and up crowd. ;-) we are so fortunate to have so many pools that are close by. very fortunate indeed! and many thanks - day was great, mellow, and I still managed to get in a walk, a foggy one, but nice nonetheless.

Hi Carla - oh ye son Lola - she was so excited to be outdoors. Once i got her back inside she was all over the house - running everywhere at warp seed. silly cat! Yes too on the pool - it is so ncie to ahev another in our arsenal. :-D

Hi Rachel - me to on Lola... it is unnerving when she gets out. She just runs and runs, leaps everywhere, and it is impossible to catch her unless she comes up to you. On a sunny day - forget it. Once she went all over the neighborhood. That took clsoe to an hurry to get her back to the house. :o Crazy cat! Otherwise it was as you say - alot of fun in the pool.We all enjoyed it alot. THX on today, we did get some sun, but only for a few minutes - darn fog!

Hi Amy - That pool is gorgeous, and the competition pool is really cool! It is nice to have so many options available. i so know on those indoor pools for the serious lap swimmers. so many pools now have had to add the toys aspect to appeal to the families to keep these pools going. I can Maggie the fees that you would have to pay. memberships are costly here too. I so agree on Lola - I just can't trust her to stay out. The others, Mannie included, always stayed in their own yard - I never had to worry about them. Lola however.... no. so... she will for now remain an indoor kitty. way to curious she is! I so hear you about living on a busy street, I wouldn't want mine out either.

Hi Michelle,
The new facility looks gorgeous :-D And I love William in the water, just too cute!
I bet Lola's wheels were spinning when she saw that door open and her opportunity for freedom   I am so glad you were able to capture her :-D
It must have felt strange not going on the computer all day. But, once in a while, we need to do it!
Have a great night :-D

Hi Jane ~O) It is a gorgeous facility - very very nice! William seemed to enjoy it too, how to figure out how to get that going. :-D Oh a big YES on Lola: wheels were spinning for sure. That was a bolt out the front door.  me too on the capture. She is so quick that sometimes that can be difficult. it was odd to stay off the computer. not today though.  THX on the evening. It was nice to just relax. WOOT!
