Happy Fursday!! Sending many prayers out today for Sid and Lydia on the diagnosis....I am thankful for them it is small cell lymphoma because that responds to treatment. Also sending our caring thoughts to Rocket and Claudia and any others who need them.
Gracie zoom zoomed down yesterday....we thought we had waited an acceptable time for the new juice and also for any bounces to clear so Missy G had her own ideas about how the dance would go yesterday including the zoom zoom back up. We were amazed at how little the changes in BG yesterday seemed to affect her....she was playful, chirpy, happy all day long with a few luxurious naps in between. As we turned the lights out last night, she and Tobey started on a particularly verbal rendition of WWF Smackdown but a clap of the hands sorted it out. I could still hear them wrestling but I think they took it down a notch as there was no Gracie hissing and no Tobey cooing.
Quick DM update: she's been sounding stronger every day; still mainly using tylenol 500 mg for pain but once in a blue moon just one morphine. I'm very proud of her progress in kicking the narcotics. I got a call from the Director of Nursing in the AL area yesterday and she said she had assessed DM for coming back to her AL apartment as SN was releasing her. SN did no therapy on her and so DM was weak and could not transfer herself and it was going to take two people to the tune of an extra $1,000/month. So I had to stop working and get the Ex Dir, both the SN and AL DoNs, the therapy directors, etc on the phone and told them that she left the hospital with orders for therapy and that we were not going to pay the extra amount because they had decided not to do the therapy. As it all ended up, they did the right thing and agreed to keep her in SN one more week so she could get OT and build her strength up before she goes back to AL. The good thing is she will go back to AL the same day I get there next Thurs and so I'll be able to observe....ALOT.
Going to catch up on condos now. Have a great day. I think Gracie and Tobey are off for whatever adventures the kittens are cooking up today.
