UH OH!! I did indeed unwisely visit a well-respected breeder this morning. :-D
Got out (barely) without a new baby for two reasons:
1. wisest to wait until the kitties and I settle into a new job routine.
2. have a LOT more research to conduct on how the Adoptogirls will integrate...
i'm convinced Binks would be utterly thrilled, and these guys are reputedly very
friendly with all breeds of cats, dogs, and tend to fit right into group settings.

BUT OH, MY...I WANT!!!!!!

Freaking adorable!! Binks totally needs a brother. Looks like these guys get pretty big, maybe you could train him as a guard cat? :lol:
 
Aren't they adorable? They're a distinctly PNW breed...
reputed to be the product of a Bobcat/domestic pairing that began in Washington State
(umm, Mannie- are these relatives of yours??)

I've been in love with them for years...
here's a Cats 101 video about them (not to fill the forum with videos today...but I'm just SO captivated)
They tend to be huge...but really social & friendly...

Unfortunately Cini is a one woman cat. He tolerates Honey and Tabasco (the civvies), but just barely.
 
Hah!! The torties would probably be a source of amusement for one of those guys! A Pixie Bob would be about the size of both of the girls rolled into one. Of course, you do realize, they have thumbs! (And are completely adorable.)
 
I have to admit, I nearly collapsed with laughter at the mental picture of Binks urging a 22 lb "little brother" to torment the girls, :lol:
but then compassion showed me a vision of their shocked & dismayed Tortie expressions :sad: .

I just have the deepest reservations about their reaction...
until my "selfishness devil" whispers in my ear-
"C'mon, it'd be good for em...they need this!"

Or is that Binks whispering :? :lol:

the job hunt goes well, although slowly...thanks for asking!
Not a fan of the process...but I've got over 50 resumes/apps out there...and starting to get a flurry of responses.

Still no magical call from the "1-800-Independently Wealthy" folks :sad: :lol:
 
I had not heard of them -- beautiful, Celi! Good for you for resisting until you settle into a new job.

yeah I love pixie bobs actually thought about getting into them but they were not CFA accepted so that was why I did not but I also adore the breed and also Savannahs are so lovely I think :-D its your adopt a cats you would have a issue with( I think) OR it would confuse them so they would be ok you just can never tell my oldest son had 2 male cats that kept bickering allllll the time we tried it all and then we found 2 4 week old kittens under his house he had not planned to keep them but to make a long story short he did they were 2 girls and now the 2 boys hardly ever bicker it apparently broke up the pecking order enough to actually make a kind of balance but of course you never know with your 2 :roll:

Never heard of that breed! Not that I know much about cats....

I will get another kitty. At some point. Tortie Sunrise I believe would love that. Max Minnie? Well she would either :
A) Be thrilled that Sunrise has another cat to annoy besides her
Or
B) Pack her bags :lol:

Life is too short and they are EXTREMELY adorable. We all need a little impulsiveness now and then and it's not like you're going to turn the new one into a shelter if
it doesn't work out....look how you got the tortie girls and Binks to do !!!! Playing!!!

Sometimes I toy with the idea of fostering or adopting another cat but then I remember that I have Leroy ohmygod_smile

Ultimately, i'm convinced that Binks would be thrilled and Smudge would disapprove but just continue to be
her Cur-Smudgeony old self. My fear is that already shy Anniekins would go right back into her shell...
I'm still working hard to convince her that she is NOT low kitty on the Totem Pole.

But I'm betting it won't be long till I give in...
I've spent most of the day OOhing and AAhing over Pixie Bob pics and videos.

Oh my!! The cattery is just north of Seattle......guess where I live??? :lol: I already emailed them......me, who wasn't going to have another cat after Missy and Phoenix!!! You started something! Let me know if you decide to get one......

And of course we'd rather see kittens. Don't you know that, by the end of this year, 75% of the internet will consist of cat videos?!?!? :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Wow...those are some cute, BIG cats!!! We have a family friend with a Norwegian Forest Cat. I've very unfortunately never met Felix in person, but his top weight - which was only very slightly overweight - was 26lbs!

Hopefully the AdoptoCats would take to a such a sweet little baby cat....I mean, who can resist a kitten?? Of course, the last time I went out to adopt A kitten, I ended up with 4 :roll: ...I'm not allowed to "window shop" anymore.
