Happy Saturday!

Yesterday's condo

1/24 AMPS=157 (f0.75u); +1=162; +2=149; +7.5=205
1/24 PMPS=225 (f0.75u); +1=238; +2=212; +4=203; +7.25=205

1/25 AMPS=184 (f0.75u); +1=220; +3.75=236; +6=205; +8=198
1/25 PMPS=248 (f0.75u); +2=130; +3=110; +4=115; +5-131

What's going on???
Is this a bounce? There is nothing to bounce from....
Is she bouncing from the flat blue day on Thursday?
Anyway she's been flat yellow since yesterday afternoon.
She seems sleepy, a bit tired, but she's eating OK.

I wish she was strong/healthy enough for a dental cleaning, but she's not.
The vet doesn't want to do it unless the risk of not doing it becomes greater than the risk of anesthesia, and right now it is riskier to put her under anesthesia than some tartar

**Ginger update**
Ginger is doing fine and more herself today. :-D
She meowed this morning, not as loudly as usual, but she's got her voice back.
And she ate her regular row meat breakfast well.

Wishing everyone a nice weekend!

Re: 1/25 Lucy AMPS=184;+1=220;+3.75=236

I have no words of wisdom on Lucy's numbers. At least she's in the low yellows, as opposed to stinky pinkies. :-D

Glad to hear Ginger found her voice. I have one kitty that did the silent meow thing for the first five or six years of her life. We didn't think she had a voice. When she figured out how to use it, though, she took full advantage. She has COPD so I have a baby monitor in her favorite room to monitor her coughing. When she really has something to say, she gets in front of that monitor and expresses herself at the top of her lungs!   Gets my attention! :o

Re: 1/25 Lucy AMPS=184;+1=220;+3.75=236

I'm glad Ginger got her voice back and hope she is keeping her food down.

My vet said for years that he would not advise a dental for J.D. I eventually took him to a Dental Specialist. But had an expensive Cardiologist appointment and echocardiogram done before the procedure and paid the extra money for a dedicated anesthesiaologist to be there during the procedure. J.D. gets dental drops now, and loves for me to rub his teeth with my finger.

To me, I think Lucy's numbers look fairly flat. Although, compared to J.D., Lucy's cycles are very flat indeed. Was the +3.75 maybe from a food spike? Perhaps tonight's cycle will be blue.

Re: 1/25 Lucy AMPS=184;+1=220;+3.75=236

I hope Lucy turns that number back to blue soon for you :-D I wonder if there is a dental specialist around to see like Dyana mentioned...if you had the money that would be interesting to know what they thought. Do they think tartar is keeping BG up? I'm sorry that I don't remember from past condos  I'm happy to hear she's eating, and that Ginger is feeling better! Happy Caturday, Mariko!

(PS, I just read Lucys profile again, and I don't know if I said it before...I have to say how beautiful Lucy and Ginger are! I especially love the pic of each of them when they are sitting in the sun, and the one of Lucy half sleeping it looks like on a bed? I just want to give them snuggles! cat_pet_icon )

I hope Lucy will come back down for you soon. I'm glad Ginger got her voice back and ate for you.

Re: 1/25 Lucy AMPS=184;+1=220;+3.75=236

I hope Lucy brings her flatness down a tad. I'm glad she's eating well today, though, and so glad Ginger is feeling better, too!

Re: 1/25 Lucy AMPS=184;+1=220;+3.75=236

Paws crossed for lower PM numbers for Miss Lucy. We went to the West Coast Veterinary Dental Services when Neko had her dental. She had a echocardiogram last year at Canada West so I didn't need to get that done again, plus I had recent blood work so there wasn't any other tests I needed before the dental. The dental specialist had a person dedicated to anaesthesia and a doppler monitor on her heart throughout the procedure.

I'm glad Ginger is back to normal and eating well.

Re: 1/25 Lucy PMPS=248

Thank you for the idea of dental specialist.
If/When I decide to do it for Lucy, I think I'll contact a specialist.
But not yet....... at the moment, the problem is minor and the risk is huge.

Lucy stayed mostly in yellow.... and still pretty far from blue, so she may stay yellow tonight.
But her appetite is good, and she's feeling good too.
She followed me around doing chores at home this afternoon.

Ginger puked another small hairballs this afternoon, and I think she's got more.
I think it's the hairballs making her feel and sound strange.
I gave her some more hairball paste this afternoon.

I thought maybe all these yellows might be due to bad meter because I dropped it a few times recently, so I tested the +2 using the current meter and the backup meter, both One Touch Ultra Mini, and got exactly the same number.
This made me feel strangely satisfied.
And I was extra happy because I got a blue number. :-D
