Hi everybody. I haven't posted for a few days. Tori has been doing well. She's almost completely back to normal. Her appetite has improved a lot mind you she does receive the Mirtazapine every couple of days. I had attempted to decrease it back to q3days the week before her last flare but she was probably already now feeling great. I might try decreasing it again next week. Today I gave her the CCNU which she should have had a week ago Friday but didn't because of the CP attack. Hopefully it won't cause any problems. I always get so nervous whenever she gets the chemo. It's natural I guess.

Well she certainly has had a flat line of sugars today starting at 259 and having 261 at +6 and now 257 at preshot time. I must say I am getting rather tired of seeing all the yellows. Today was her 5th day of the 1.5F. I will give it one more day and if her numbers don't improve I'm going to take her back up to the 1.75.

My son had his back injected today with the local anesthetic and he seems to have done well with the procedure. I was really quite worried. Hopefully it will help his pain. On Thursday he sees the nephrologist about his kidney function. This appointment scares the heck out of me. The thought of him having kidney problems at his young age just sends my mind reeling. He's also started having migraines to add another problem to the ever growing list. It's all so depressing.

Well I better get off my butt and get ready for work. The city finally grated our street of the 50 cm of snow that had accumulated on it. Now the problem is the tall windrows of packed snow piled up on the sidewalks. What a mess. It's going to take forever to shovel it so that I can park my car safely and not break my neck trying to jump over the piles. Oh well it's a wonderful life.

Have a good night everybody. I'm keeping all our sick babies in my thoughts and prayers.

Nice to hear that Tori is feeling better. Good luck with your son's appointment on Thursday, sending positive thoughts and prayers. Hope your snow melts, meanwhile, be careful, don't fall and hurt yourself.

aw, Barb...you are such an example to us all...what a trouper!

hoping for the best for tori and your son...and for you, lady!
