Georgia and Simon (GA)

Yesterday, Simon's PMPS was 51! I did give him his shot but reduced it down slightly because I had to go out for a few hours. I also left plenty of food out. Obviously, he came through fine and is flying high this morning with a pink number.

Meanwhile, Cleo is not doing well. My heart is very heavy. She is still hardly eating anything on her own and she looks tired. My whole day when I am not at work revolves around making sure she is getting enough nutrition with syringe feeding and giving her fluids. I have tried all the anti-nausea meds, but nothing is helping. She goes tomorrow for BW to see if there is any change in her liver numbers or to see if there is anything else going on. Poor little girl -- she is such a trooper and never complains. And she still gives me nice purrs and head butts when I go to bed.

Re: 1/24 Simon AMPS 335

Morning Georgia, hope Simon climbs on down today with little drama. So sorry to hear Cleo is not doing well. I can imagine the worry for you during the day. It's so hard to see them sick. Sending lots of healing vines and good Vetty vines for tomorrow. Hugs to you.

Morning Georgia ~O) ~O) ~O)

pink seems to rule this AM with alot of kitties. Nice on the green yesterday, I hope Simon clears this bounce soon. Right Simon?

My thoughts are with you and Cleo. I hope she feels better soon. Good luck with the vetty visit, and I hope they have some insight for you. it is so hard when our kitties don't feel well. Hugs to all there. How nice that she purrs and head butts for you, her way of telling you thank you for all you do for her.

Re: 1/24 Simon AMPS 335

Simon, it's OK to bring it down a bit...no diving, but down a bit - OK?

I'm so sory Cleo still isn't feeling well. We all understand the worry so much. Sending tons and tons of prayers your way... :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG: ...

Re: 1/24 Simon AMPS 335

Come on down, Simon!!

(((Georgia)))......I'm so sorry Cleo is not doing well. I know the last thing you want to think about is more anesthesia....but had you thought about them putting in an etube? It would allow you to get so many more calories in her. Syringe feeding is really intensive and I would imagine if she's nauseous still, it's not fun for her. Have you seen the recipe for liver shake?

THE '~LIVER SHAKE~' FOR SICK CATS

This liquid food is appropriate for cats suffering from conditions where they are eating very little or not at all such as anemias, leukemias, deficiency states with symptoms of lethargy, listlessness, and weakness.

1 cup RAW LIVER (BEEF, or CHICKEN)
1 cup FRESH CARROT JUICE or V-8, or Tomatoe Juice
1/4 cup *FRESH FILTERED WATER
1 RAW EGG YOLK
1 tsp.KELP POWDER OR SPIRULINA

COMBINE AND MIX IN A BLENDER UNTIL LIQUEFIED. (Note: it will be frothy)

Dosage:

Administer 10cc daily 3-6 times a day. (6Occ per day max)

Some cats will need to be force-fed with a syringe, while others will drink it out of a bowl.

This food has a sweet and salty taste, and the energetic properties of tonifying (energy boosting), warming and stimulating and supports the kidneys, spleen, liver and stomach.

This drink is a complete dinner for a sick cat until they feel good enough to eat by themselves again.

*Substitute rice water if the cat has diarrhea. Rice water
is made by boiling white rice (2 Tbsp) with water (1cup) for 30 minutes.
This liquid aids digestion and assimilation and inhibits the symptoms of diarrhea.

Re: 1/24 Simon AMPS 335

Good Morning, guys,

Yup, that is quite a bounce, Simon! Let's see a nice gradual slide to blue and green, OK?

Georgia, I hope that Cleo's vetty visit will give you some answers. We are sending many vines and snowflakes and hoping that she will be feeling much better soon.

Hugs,

Ella & Rusty

Simon's PMPS has dropped nicely from the pink.

Thanks everyone for your support and prayers for Cleo. I so appreciate them.
Marje, thanks for the recipe. I will give it a try. My vet also suggested an e-tube, but I just don't want to put Cleo through another procedure. She is so easy to syringe feed and I'm feeding her what the vet said (can and 1/2 a day). I just think there is something else going on with her since she has not eaten well since a few months before the surgery in December.

Nice to see that Simon came down to a nice blue for you for his pmps....guess he had to show you how he can bounce from that 51 last night, eh!

I'm sorry to hear about Cleo...poor thing. I know you are beside yourself with worry. I hope that the liver shake helps her....and hope that the vet visit goes well.
