Well, here's a fun dilemma. Gen is having a lovely snooze in a sunbeam, and meanwhile I am struggling with myself as to whether I need to go out into below-zero windchill to pick up the Ondansetron that my vet wasn't able to get ordered until very late yesterday (so I couldn't swing by and get it on my way home). If I had a car, that would be one thing, but my best option is bicycle. (Transit will take me there, but turn a 20-minute trip into over an hour, which just seems stupid.)
I'm going to grit my teeth and do it, but I'll wait until after the pharmacists' lunch break, which should get me to the warmest temperatures we're likely to see today (a whole 14 degrees Fahrenheit).
The things we do for love, right?
Gen's also having a rather steep drop. He wasn't into one of the flavors of food I gave him this morning, apparently; I was a bit worried, but he ate very well of the other, so I swapped the first one out about an hour ago and he ate hungrily. Which is great! But he's still going down kind of fast (it's almost AMPS +3 and he's at 169). Could just be working the dose again, I don't know. Blues are nice, I just don't want another lime, especially not one facilitated by appetite issues.
Anyway! He's pretty happy and I will cope. My work just announced that campus will be closed Monday because of the upcoming storm, which is great! I hope everyone's having a safe and cozy Saturday, with safe surfs for all the kitties. If you're in the path of the big winter storm that is coming down on a large portion of the US tomorrow, stay safe!
