Nothing much to say - these are his numbers so far today! His three brothers have all learned the routine - as soon as they hear the zipper of his testing kit they come running because they know it's time for treats....while Elian thinks, oh shoot...here we go again! So they surround Elian and me and make it difficult to do his testing -drooling while head bonking the meter and lancets! But we're getting the job done.

Good work! You should give them all a poke just so they can play along  Hopefully Elian settles into some lower numbers for the PM cycle. Looks like he's taking his own sweet time in finding a good dose. Have a good night!

Great job getting those +2 tests at night.

Here's a hint for what all that means. If the +2 is much higher than the PS, it's unlikely he will come back down..of course, he's a cat so who knows ;-) if his +2 is about the same as his PS, you should expect a normal lantus cycle whic h is typically active so you might want to get a test at least mid cycle if its possible to get up and do a quick test. If the +2 is much less than then PS, he's likely to come down early and have a more active cycle. If you can get a +4, that would give you more info.

Great job..hope he comes down soon.

Thanks everybody. I don't get night tests because he gets his shot at 9 pm so for me to get anything other than a +2 or 3 means I have to get up and get him up at 1 am or later. I guess I could try .... at least once! He thinks his nights are safe since its our snuggle time - now to do this to him..... he'll never trust me. But it's for his own good.

Hey! If I have to get up twice a night so do you!! lol

Only half joking, setting your alarm for the occasional night spot check is always a good idea. Maybe nights you can sleep in the next day...

I will do it - but not tonight...gotta be up and out early, then back home to take care of E and his brothers. But I did get a +3 just now. He went from PMPS of 462 to 313. Of course now I'll have it in my head to get up and do it and I probably won't sleep all night, looking at the clock waiting for +6 which will be 3:15 am. Oy!!!!

I'm very lucky - mine sleep all night. So much that I have to slip in and out of bed without disturbing them - G-d forbid!!! And yes, all four only sleep with me - they never go in my daughters' bedrooms. Never have. Kinda strange, huh?!!

Maybe your daughters thrash about and are more restless at night... Or more likely the boys know who feeds and spoils them... Lol.
