1/24 Dylan AMPS 299 +0.5

Good Morning!

Back on the Lantus forum as my second cat Dylan was diagnosed with diabetes. This morning is her first shot when I'm not there to monitor but thankfully my boyfriend's in town to keep an eye on her while I'm at work.

AMPS this morning were 299, gave her 0.5 of insulin. I let him know to really keep an eye on her at the 5-7 hour marks to make sure she's doing okay and left some carbs and corn syrup out in case she appears to be hypo.

Still a little nervous about leaving little sugar kitty!

I think Dylan will be fine.
Does your BF know how to test? If not, is he willing to try?

He's seen me do it a lot now and most likely could if really needed so if it comes to that, he definitely will. Right now it's nice to have him working from my place so he can just check up on her from time to time! Currently she's snoring away so looking all good!
