Green looks good, huh!? Yay Luci! :D

Looking good Luci, would be nice if you decided to hang out at the lagoon a little longer.

Sue, does Lucy usually have food after +6?

She gets a treat - not really food. Today she got a few pea-sized pieces of string cheese. She was napping and wanted to get back to that. She's a grazer and I will give her a few teaspoons in the a.m. - then again when she gets her insulin - several more or up to a half 3 oz can. Then again late morning - usually as a reward for a poke...later in the day she doesn't seem as hungry - until around 9+ then she's hungry - so I opened another can of FF pate and she got about 1/3 - saving the rest for insulin time (7:45). That'll be her last meal of the day. She feels like she's gaining a little weight. I'll have to weigh her to see how much - but last week she was about the same as at the vet (9 lbs.)

Hello @SueGeorgeandLuci , I don't post much here anymore but I do read condos when I can and I am delighted to see that you are now able to test your Luci all by yourself! Belated congrats, that is a huge step forward and there will be many many more to come in this marathon called FD! :bighug:

Here is a link to your last condo. It helps people when you are in need of dosing advice to link the previous day.

And also, Luci's liver will in time learn to get used to green numbers and the bounces will not be so dramatic....Someone may have presented you with this before but if not, here are a pair of "Patience Pants" These pants are meant to help be more comfortable while we are waiting for some sort of regulation to happen with Feline Diabetes. :D You and DH are doing a great job, your Luci is one lucky lady!

You are so sweet! Thank you for your encouraging words and the patience pants - I'm laughing because you're right about one thing - they are well deserved and I'm going to wear them whenever I feel like I'm doing all this work for naught - on those bad bounce days.
Luci I'm sure somewhere deep inside knows we're trying to help her...but mostly it's just about the food for her :) She still rules this household - I guess it's true what they say about cats 'owning their people' - I know she certainly owns me...and I still love her for it...crazy cat lady! The title doesn't bother me in the least! It is a bit life altering - but I'm hoping that these small sacrifices we're making now will earn her many years of happy and contented life OTJ! That's what we're hoping for!! :)

Thank you again for your sweet comments and I have to say this group has all been so patient, supportive, loving and kind. I've come a long way with so much to learn - especially about to manage the SS - and title postings, etc. - It's through the kind supportive comments of the people who participate in this group that I was able to make changes, corrections along the way to get it right, or at least better. I hope they all have a pair of 'Patience Pants' as well...if not, they should at least get a 'Patience Ring or Scarf' for putting up with me :)
