Morning ~O) ~O) I believe last night was a combination of a fur shot and Bean error on measuring drops with the MJ's. I think I'll give ADW a call this morning re the MJ's and also check with Marje on what the ADW rep has to say about it! I think we did okay today with the shot and dose, but time will tell. If her numbers don't start improving once I get the dose right, we'll have to go up a drop! Maggie is in very good spirits this morning. We've had play time with her mouse pole toy, two breffifs, security guard duty with the little wildlife and now Maggie nap time. I think we're due some rain today. Have a nice Monday.

Maggie, you're so close to blue! We are spoiled, greedy beans. We want to see blue every morning. So hop to it!

I hope your rain is a gentle, all day event.

Re: 1/23 Maggie AMPS 209 ATrak

It's a drizzley day here as well, makes the Bean and kitties sleepy. Glad to hear Maggie is in good spirits. Hope the shot went well today and she doesn't need any more juice.

Re: 1/23 Maggie AMPS 209 ATrak

Not a bad start! That is blue for ATrak right? I get confused by that.

Oh rain would be so nice. I hope you have a wonderful day Ann!

Re: 1/23 Maggie AMPS 209 ATrak

I agree - not a bad start at all!

It's gray here, and - like Iorwen said - that is making me one groggy bean. Kitties are enjoying BTB, but I have to start getting readn for work - boo!

Have a great day!!!

Morning! A mild case of sunny yellow for Maggie. Maybe some blues today? You're so close, I bet you are there soon. Wow on the monojets - hope you get that resolved. I use them too, haven't had a problem... I wish you luck.

I am glad that the security guard duty is in place this morning. :-D Mannie would be so proud!

Bummer on the drizzle! We are clear, so far, with a promise of sun. I bit chilly at 37, but if there is sun involved I will be happy....

Re: 1/23 Maggie AMPS 209 ATrak

We always subtracted 30 from the Alpha Trak reading to compare to a human meter so I would call that 209 a blue. :-D Yes, Tillie is our civie. We should put that in the signature so you don't have to remember.

Oops! Here we go again, but I think this is still a fuds spike.

Hi Linda, I hope so, too, for some blue and a nice, slow rain today.

Iorwen, the rain does make for a sleepy day. I may stay home and actually do some cleaning, ugh!

Melissa, yes, it actually would be a blue on the ATrak, subtract 25-30 points or so on a higher number.

Amy, yeah boo on work for you. I retired early and do miss the social aspect of seeing people every day, but I don't miss the grind.

Michelle, yes, she loves her security post, even preferring it at night rather than bedtime cuddles.

Liz, right with the ATrak. I know you and Anne switched to the human meter. Has your Vet adapted to the lower numbers?

Hi guys .. well this is certainly a flat yellow so far this morning! I hope you get the answers about your MJ's .. hopefully her numbers start improving, but if not, good luck with the extra drop! Have a great day!

Come on down now Maggie. No snaking a peek at the higher floors.

isn't getting rain wonderful, although I've been hearing reports of crazy driving already.

I just read you post on the MJ syringes. I still like them better than the BDs and I think it's true , they are within tolerances for human use and that is what they go by. What i do is draw up a first dose of insulin to the .5u line and squeeze drops out one at a time. Then i draw the insulin up once again and squeeze out the number of drops needed to get to my dose. Does that make sense to you?

BTW, I just heard from Rebecca that ADW has just approved the affiliate program membership for FDMB. So if you buy from ADW link to them through the "shop" link on the top of the Board. Rebecca will get a rebate from every purchase to help keep us going! SHOP THROUGH THE LINK!

+6 215

I must have done a fur shot, but at least she stays true to form by staying flat!

Devon, still the wrong way but hopefully she will stay low yellows.

Ann, yes the rain is so nice for a change. The driving can be a little crazy. thanks for both the tip on drawing up the dose and for the info on Rebecca getting a rebate thru the "shop link." Definitely will shop there for my ADS Maggie ware.

Lisa, maybe Mags will surprise us and have a late Nadir!

A flat fur shot! That's pretty neat. Maggie knows how to regulate her bgs.!!

I use the MJs too, and haven't found them to be a problem, but maybe I haven't scrutinized them carefully enough. I like them because they hardly ever get bubbles.

Have a great day, guys, and enjoy your rain. We are going to have freezing rain later and we will not enjoy that!

Ella, I think Maggie prefers not to break her flat cycle, even when her crazy Bean does a fur shot!

These numbers are definitely not Maggie numbers. At least you can chalk it up to a fur shot. Tomorrow will be a better day (paws and fingers crossed!)

Back to Maggie numbers and successful shot, yay! I could tell by the way she was eating fast that she had been dropping.

Thanks Georgia for stopping by and hopefully better numbers tomorrow.

Yah Maggie, back down to your usual normal numbers :-D :-D :-D
I use BD syringes & hate them usually--Sometimes they are good, sometimes they are so misprinted it makes me scream--I just emailed them about 2 syringes in a bag that were crooked lines!!! Or the lines were so distorted that they were not usable--They will give me a free box for this or I am switching--
Problem is that I get them around the corner at my drugstore, so it is very convenient..
Maybe I will try MJ soon--
Have a good night & good numbers!-Hugs & Love from us!

That is a very flat, blue day for Maggie today. You might have to seriously consider that little extra drop of insulin unless Ann's suggestion on droawing the dose might help. I am not the most patient of persons when it comes to drawing, redrawing, etc.

I'm anxious to get the MJs from Hocks and see if they are any better....there is no reason why they should be but maybe the lots will be so different that they might be better. Of course, I'd like to buy from ADW to support FDMB. But I get other things from them, too.

Have a great night...hope you enjoyed the rain.
