I'd get a +2.
In your other thread you said you shot R two hours prior to the PZI, and that R usually peaks for Lucian at +4? You don't know yet when the PZI will start onset. It might be earlier than you saw with Lantus or Lev.

No, R with Lucian usually peaks at +2, which was when I gave the PZI, so that the PZI onset would be about the time the R was gone. Of course today was the first time, in all the times I've given R, that that didn't happen. But then, today was the only time I ever gave more than zero dose line R, because he was over 600 at the time. The R dose I gave 2 hrs before PZI was zero dose line.
So yeah, I'll be testing thru the night to be safe.

Okay, that makes more sense to me. ECID of course but I usually saw onset between +2 and +3 and nadir at +5 ish. But I didn't test very often mid-cycle, so not a lot of data to go by. I know better now, but I didn't back then.
I think initially what you would be hoping to figure out is more "timing" related than numbers specific. Like when onset happens, when nadir happens, and how much duration you get. I think that will help with future dose decisions and timing between shots. You might find he's an every 12 hours kitty, or you might find you have some flexibility with that.

I am SO hoping he can go 12 hr cycles but if not, we'll have to make adjustments. If I have to go every 10 or even every 8, I can do that.
Hopefully will have enough data in the next few days to make some intelligent decisions. (I almost laughed at that point! :lol: ) Doh! We are discussing Lucian, the kitty that is 'Predictably Unpredictable'.

I shot between 11 and 13 hours apart, but that had more to do with my schedule than with Bob's numbers. It's just the way I had to do it.

I am fortunate that I have the time to do whatever is needed, with exception of a couple short classes in the afternoons next month. I have 2, 3-4 day classes, from like 1-4pm a couple weeks apart, no biggie, should be fine.
Of course, should Lucian be running low, I'll blow it off. I have cancelled everything for Lucian, Dr's appt, Attorney's appt, plans with friends. Doesn't matter and everyone knows, including my MD and Atty, that we're ON unless Lucian has a problem and I'll cancel at the last minute. Everyone that knows me, all know, everything depends on Lucian's numbers. :lol:
He's 15 and his only medical issue other than arthritis in his hips, is FD. So I expect him to be around a few more years and I want him happy and healthy, he's my boy.

Part of that 282 is food then. Don't worry about flat. It's his first shot of PZI. Flat yellows are much better than pinks or reds.
When you use R, what is the dose? Just curious. I have zero experience with R.

When I use R it doesn't have a dose, it is what is in the syringe between the tip and the first (zero) line. Basically the dead space.
