1/23 Cali AMPS: 390 (Convo continued...)

I honestly feel like Cali did better with little to no insluin. She was up to 390 today and when she had nothing for a few days or a smaller dose (.5) i felt like she did much better.

With the break in insulin, you completely depleted Cali's shed. You got a decent response when you started up insulin but what you're seeing now is that as the shed is filling, there's just not enough insulin on board to bring the numbers down. The best response you were getting was at 2.0u. I'm not sure why you decreased at that point but I suspect you're going to need to get your dose back up to around that amount before you start to really see the numbers start moving.

Not sure what yo mean--we haven't gone up to 2.0 with Lantus yet...

On the previous insulin. Chances are that you'll need to get the Lantus up to around the same dose as on the other insulin.
