Numbers are a little better today. I've noticed Oreo has flinched a couple times when I give him the injections, which is not something he has ever done before so that has me a little freaked out. Going to try to use a slightly different spot.

Kona flinches sometimes and it has me super worried, but then she stops noticing it.

Good idea on trying a different spot!

I always forget to LOOK at the tip of the needle and going in with the bevel correctly... this might help.

What if you try going in at a different angle? Also maybe try making a better tent? I like to pull Kona's hair to make the tent... it sounds harsh, but I think she associates it with pulling scruff and let's loose. Or actually the simulation of her hair getting slightly pulled distracts her from noticing the needle. Just a thought....

Thank you for the tips! I never even noticed the bevel on the needle to be honest. It's weird because he's been on insulin since March and he's never even seemed to notice the injections before like this past week.
