Hi everyone,
Putty has been doing great. He is my lovable, silly and still a very "polite" little guy. His favorite game is hiding behind the curtain while I play fetch and toss him a toy that he will bat if it is thrown within his reach. So, things have not changed here. I am still the fool running around retrieving his little mouse while he patiently and comfortably sits and waits. I can always tell when he is green by the way he wants to play and know when he is high because he is quiet and sleepy.
Putty's health has been very good.....in the last 2 years the only time he was at the vet's was for his annual check-up. His bloodwork has also been very good (anti-jinx). I cannot believe that he has been on insulin for over 3 years now. As far as his numbers go....he is on a f1.0. He has not been on this low of a dose for a long time. He may need a little more juice but he goes low and bounces pretty high and I think this dose has kept him a little less bouncy.
Putty like most cats has always liked a clean litterbox although now he wants it cleaned immediately after he uses it. He will stand at a certain place in the kitchen and when I walk toward him he heads for the laundry room looking behind to make sure I am following him. Once we get there he stands in front of the LB and looks at me then back at the box. I swear I hear him saying "hey lady, what are you waiting for, can't you see I just used it now clean it up."
I have not been a regular poster here for a while but I do peek in every now and then. I do miss all of you and need to catch up to introduce the Putman to so many names I do not know. I keep promising I will be back on a more regular basis. I will make good on that promise....I promise.
As far as the beans here......we are now empty nesters. My one and only daughter is a freshman in college. She is only about 35 to 40 minutes away depending on traffic but I still miss seeing her every day. My house has never been so clean but a little too quiet for my liking. One would think that I would have a lot of time on my hands but that is not the case. I have never been busier. I sub in the high school guidance and front office, I volunteer for a charity, and am on a committee within that charity. I also try to spend a lot of time with my Mom. So life is good.
