We're back! Actually we got back Saturday night just before midnight. Only got 4 hrs sleep that night and woke up sick yesterday. I got up and shot Muffin, and then somehow got absolutely no tests in after that, so for safety's sake, I decided to just skip last night. I was asleep by 830pm, and this morning I feel much much better. So today we start again, get that shed refilled and see what she can do.
Muffin traveled like a champ on the way home, even better than on the way up there. We left her in the carrier until we got over the mountains, and then let her out. She sat with DD sometimes, and at Alette's feet in the back for the rest of the time. I had given her Acepromazine before the trip up on Wednesday, and had planned to do that again, but the way things worked out, I would have given it and then immediately put her in the car, so I decided to skip it, see how she did, and if she needed it, I could pull over and give it. But I don't think she needed it, and she actually seemed a bit calmer without it. She chatted some going over the mts boths ways, and I'm sure that's just because her ears were popping just like ours.
I cannot begin to tell you what a comfort it was having Muffin there with me. Not only did I not have to worry about her, it helped me worry less about the gang that stayed home, made me miss them all a little less. I was sharing a hotel room with my ex, but he only ended up staying there the first night. So there were 2 nights where I may have been a bit lonely if it weren't for Muffin. Instead, I enjoyed those times the most.
Thank you all for your kind words and support for DSiL. She will be greatly missed.
