Good morning World!! Yesterday BOOTIFUL numbers!

+10 - 317
AMPS - 330

I'm shooting scruff all the time for the next few days and see where this journey leads us. I am fairly happy with those 2 numbers so far this morning as means he at least came back down into the 200's during the night. Boy that scruff skin is tough! He keeps givin' me that 'What cha doin'?' look when I start tenting there - he's used to the side shots.

BRRRRRR!!! Freezin' Oklahoma today - 10am and it's still 30 degrees....it was 77 yesterday!!! I just HAD to work outside - got my shears and chopped my wisteria back 'til it was nekid...REAL nekid. I know I chopped off early spring blooms but this is an old heirloom plant that's been growing for over 40 years - when it starts putting out new shoots, it will bloom all summer! I keep it up on a heavy trellis or it would take over! I know I have pictures of it but they're evidently over there on that worm ridden computer - that contains over 4000 UNBACKED UP photos....

I fell in love with this pic over on ICHC long ago - thought I'd share it today - clickable thumbnail:

Have a wonderful day - thoughts and prayers for all our ailing kitteh's and beans. We celebrate all those that are improving!!

Hi Lyresa

I started with scruff on Curry and went to side. Side was harder for me for some reason. Good luck with change.

Hope to see some pics of your flowers some day.

Hate those worms eaten puters.

And totally luv the puppy/kitty pic.

Have a great day!

Come on down KT!!!

I started with the scruff, moved to the chest, and now I move up and down between chest and flank....left side in the a.m. and right side in the p.m. Gracie is pretty tolerant of it all. I do think I see better absorption than the scruff.
But ECID.

Love the photo!!! Too funny. Have a great day....and I feel sorry for the wisteria!

Hi Lyresa,
I was used to shooting Stu in the side, behind a shoulder, and it worked fine for him, but with Rusty's long hair it was impossible to see skin at that location. Even pulling up the hair to make a tent didn't work well. I gave fur shot after fur shot (sometimes consecutive fur shots). His numbers were OK, but without all the fur shots they could have been better. When I switched to shooting in the scruff, everything improved. Rusty was more cooperative, I can see skin, and his numbers have improved. I still have to pull up on his hair to make a "tent", however (impossible to pinch). ECID for sure. Good luck with your experiment. I haven't found that Rusty's skin at the scruff is thicker than it is on the side.

How is Scruffy? Hope you are having a good weekend. It's good that your weather is seasonal again. We are supposed to get that warm spell on Monday, just when the snow depth is getting to be acceptable! Your wisteria sounds great! I have a houseplant (avocado) that is 39 years old. His name is Pit. We have cut him back practically to the soil many times and it doesn't take him long to get up to the ceiling!

Hugs,

Ella & Rusty
