Ugh! We were 2 years in the clear and now back on the boat. I started her back on Lantus on a low dose. Don’t know what happened as she has been on pâté since unless she was sneaking contraband behind my back from my other cats when I wasn’t looking. I don’t keep more than a few tablespoons in the bowl downstairs and it’s only when I’m there and either cat is waiting at the bowl. I’m ready to jump ship now that I have 2 diabetics. Her teeth have a very small amount of tartar on one molar. Not really worthy of going under. I don’t know. I’m at my wits end now.

So… she of course played hide and seek too well this afternoon as she got into my daughter’s closet and hid in the back behind some shoes sleeping or ignoring my calls for her. .. so need to teach my daughter how to barricade the closet door bc I can’t be playing this game everyday! Old house with doors that shut but can be easily pried open with all her extra toes !!

Any chance of switching the rest of the cats to low carb?

The other kitty has a heart issue that is stable and he is older so I know the low carb foods tend to have more phosphorus and higher protein which isn’t ideal for him. The dry food is only a few tablespoons if that only when he is at the bowl else it’s empty. For the most part the other 4 are on FF or Friskies bc of Lucky. Charlotte is only given FF but I know she is stealth like at times and comes very quietly down the carpeted stairs and I miss her entrance into the kitchen. It isn’t often she steals something but I am wondering if it was enough to push her over. Hopefully she will bounce back. I am being more vigilant with Calvin’s dry.
