Gobby was bright and bushy-tailed the minute my alarm went off this morning. Got the wrinkle-reduction face kisses this morning then he trotted to the bathroom with me and proceeded to be helpful and take most of the TP off the roll. Lots of pee and runny stool in the litterbox. He ate about 1/3 can of Friskies Special Diet Turkey. Took a nap in his sunbeam up on the couch and jumped up on tv console (where he knows he's not allowed) and took a nap there!!! Begged for food when I got home from the store, but wouldn't eat (unusual) -- tested him & got 101!!! He ate a while later, got up on the coffee table and (where he's not allowed, but now he is), played with his milk ring and with string...like a new cat! Up to his antics. Also, he purred when I was petting him, which he has not done in a LONG while.

Nice report on Gobbles this morning...except the liqui-poo. Hopefully that'll "firm up" for ya....but otherwise, what a sweet start to your day!

I just got home from the store. Gobbles acted like he is hungry (he ALWAYS wants fed & eats when I get home)...he didn't want what I offered him and would not even eat a piece of fresh ground beef. This is very unlike him. He is just kinda staring, but follows my finger when I go from east to west to north to south. So I took a BG = 101 @+6.5. Of course he could of ate right before I came home, however, he always eats when he greets me at the door. I tried 2 different flavors of FF classic to no avail. Please view his SS as his numbers today are GREAT!

Kat,
The +6 is great. I wouldn't be concerned if he won't eat right at the moment. Remember, the more that his diabetes improves, the less food he'll require, because he'll be using what he eats more efficiently. My cats cry for food every time I walk in the kitchen. I know they are far from starving, but they think I'm stupid. After all why else do people even have a kitchen if it isn't to feed them?
If he refuses food for any length of time, then maybe get concerned. Same thing if he eats and then vomits. He's just being a cat most likely, and making sure that you never quite figure him out. That's their "job":-)

I thinking maybe he feels kinda weird because he feels better...??? He's such a turd; he's most likely toying with me.
He's got his bermudas ready...
I'm home all day so I'll be keeping an eye on him. My only fear is that the latest I get PM tests is up to +5...I probably just need to chill out==there's brisk, frigid weather on its way here in Ohio...I guess single digits the next few days and some snow...go excuse to "fester, slouch" and stay in the house!!!

He sounds like he is doing good asides the runny stool. Have you given him anything new to eat in the last couple of days? new flavour of food? new food type?

I keep a probiotic, FortiFlora, in the house just in case there are poo problems. You can order it on-line (Amazon, EntirelyPets, or other places).

bump...dosage, shot reassurance? bg = 196 pm - 1.50 U? Due @ 7 pm EST

He ate about 1/4 can of FF 4% 20 minutes before his PM BG test....

I can't stay up with you tonight, because J.D. is getting a dental tomorrow and we have to leave the house before sunrise.
But, that 196 is a perfectly shootable number. He is rising, so I would go for it as long as you are going to be home and have supplies, you're covered.

I think you'll be fine. Look at your ss an what he did on the 15th and on a higher dose.
Test him again, if you're worried. I think he's rising.

Agree with Carl....just in case. But I think this is more than a food spike and he's probably going to bounce tonight after his nice numbers today.
