Yesterday's Condo

The kitties are quiet this morning other than Gabby hacking up a hairball before her breakfast. (I guess it's better before rather than after!!) It's currently 6 degrees here and we're expecting a snow storm with heavy enough snow that visibility will be effected. My iPad kept binging all night with weather alerts. have I mentioned how much I hate snow?

Sienne, you have mentioned that you hate snow. :smile: You should come to Flagstaff and see how pretty snow can be. What do you like about Chicago? Yes, good timing on that hack, Gabby. Very pretty blues too. Happy Friday!

I like cities. I'm decidedly not a country girl and Chicago definitely has the cultural and other amenities I enjoy. I lived in Minneapolis and Cleveland and saw enough snow. One year in Mpls, we got over 100 inches. I think snow is pretty. I just don't like driving in it, walking on either icy or slushy sidewalks, etc. I'm also very glad I don't have to shovel it.

Aaaannnnndddd, we have lift off! I managed to move around my schedule and stay home to avoid the snow. From my window, it' looks like "white out" conditions -- at least at the moment.

Gabby got this wild look in her eyes. Gizmo was on the bed; Gabby leaped onto the rocking chair. Gizmo, of course, had to investigate (i.e., swat at her tail). Gabby was climbing up the back of the rocker and giving Gizmo the stink eye. She went flying off the rocker onto the windowsill. I think she got scared when she looked outside! She kept running back and forth on the sill and would peek her head out from behind the blinds. She then flew off the window sill and into the cubes with Giz not far behind. However, he didn't go into the cubes -- he went over them. Gabby is back on the rocking chair. Giz is now cuddling next to me.

What a gorgeous picture of Gabby!

we got more than six inches of snow, but it rained off within 24 hours :-D

may yours disappear as quickly!
