What did one cat say while her friend was complaining? “Tail me about it.”

Hi Folks, I just reduced to 2.5 last night (after Squeaky's brilliant 69 yesterday).

This morning, he's still fairly low, 122 PS. EDIT: Seems I got mixed up this morning..... he was 122 at PM+7 but 96 at AMPS. :banghead:

I have to go out. Was going to try to leave at +1. Don't expect to be back until +7. Medical appointment, an hour's drive away, plus errands.

He ate a really good breakfast -- I find that putting just a little carby food on top of the raw food gets him to eat everything. He hasn't eaten this well for 1-1/2 years. Almost the whole meal at one sitting! Instead of just a little bit now, a little bit later. Oh, also I can sure tell how much better he is feeling! He has much more energy and affection!

Anyway, of course I've put out another dish of food out for him, and he always has some orijen treats available in a dish (he doesn't like them much, but they're there in case he gets really hungry and he runs out of the other stuff.)

Is this sufficient for me to leave, do you think?

If you didn't have to feed him anything extra yesterday to get him to stay in safe greens, you'll probably be okay today. If you can, you may want to get a test before you leave just to be safe. You may need to leave higher carb food out for him.

Thanks Carla! I think the higher carb food..... I know kibble is a bad word around here, but I found some at the gourmet pet food store that is 50% protein. I hid small quantities of them (maybe 10 pieces) in different places around the house (and he saw me).... so I know he will be going around eating them all day today!

Also it's +1 and he just went over and ate another course of food from his dish. I put a little high carb on top of his regular raw meat with a few kibbles.... hmmm it's really easy to get him to eat this way! I'm also varying the food so he doesn't get used to anything and get bored.

Us cat moms, we have to come up with tricks huh! Thanks so much for answering and yes, I will follow your high carb advice!!!!

Have a great day! How's Furball doing? I gotta run.....

She's being bouncy, but she feels pretty good.
how clever!
looks like squeaky had a good day. :bighug:
Yes you do have to get tricky some times.

Hi Carla, Furball gotta stop bouncing? Maybe you need to change her name from FurBall to.... FurLine or FurTriangle. Something that doesn't bounce. But glad she is feeling good, that counts for a lot....

Sneaky tricky devious ....... Cat Moms! (Cats too!)

Okay, let's all have a GREAT day tomorrow with lots of greens and blues!
