Our first green AMPS!

We had a close call with vomiting again last night. Did the whole heaving thing but thankfully he held it down. Appetite is still good, so maybe just residual effects of the chicken pates not sitting right with him?

I was so happy to see the support for Cecile and Bella yesterday. Thinking of them today.

Have a great day! - Tim

Congratulations on the green Amps!! :D:D
Hope all goes well with Pookey eating. Sorry to hear he’s been a bit nauseous perhaps. or maybe sick of the same food.
I see you got lots of great suggestions yesterday.
Hope he’s feeling well and no more issues.
Have a great day. He’s doing so well! :D
You’re doing such a great job with Pookey :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thank you!! That means a lot! I reached out to the vet about the Odansetron, if nothing else it will be good to have that for the future.

He gave you his green AMPS but not in 2024 :cat: typical cat, right?
I hope the vomiting will stop soon. Could he have a hairball? It can take Bella several tries to get rid of particularly large ones, sometimes. How log befre vomiting did he eat? Was it food, or clear?
Thank you for your support yesterday, that means a lot! I am still waiting for news, but as the ICU nurse told me yesterday evening, no news means good news. Still, I hope I hear very good news soon. I will post as soon as I do!

I guess it could be a hairball but he’s never really been a hairball guy… The vomit yesterday was purely food, 2 hours after he ate. Same thing last night, 2 hours after a snack, but just the heaving. I guess let’s hope he doesn’t do it again tonight.

Hi Tim. Congrats on the green pre-shot! You go, Pookey!! :D
I hope Pookey feels better with his stomach, and he stops with the vomiting.
Wishing you both a calm day and safe surf! :):cat:

Hi Tim, congratulations! Pookey is doing so well with your care and courage to shoot these low numbers! Sorry for the puking problem. I hope it just disappears. Good to have ondansetron in the house. Have a great day! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thanks Heike! He seems to be holding true to the “shoot low, stay low” verbiage. Very thankful for that. Hopefully Binie can slide down gently for you today!

@bluesunshine sigh… you called it. They filled Cerenia and not Odansetron. I guess I could call back in a few days and say I tried the Cerenia and it didn’t work…

Yeah I had to specifically ask for ondansetron. I told them that the Cerenia didn't help and that ondansetron did in the past (I had "borrowed" a few pills from a friend who has migraines). Cerenia might be worth actually trying though, I've read people around here who have used it successfully to help prevent vomiting in their cats.
