well... yellow and pink were the color of the day yesterday.. A resting day for Mannie. The day before was a good one, no doubt Mr Liver wanted some playing time yesterday... Ok Mannie - how about we put Mr Liver in his place and get back to business. Works for me, how about you? Lubs ya big guy! cat_pet_icon Sure looks like, with that 122, that Mannie is on board today. Very cool Mr Nanner King.

All is well in MannieLand. Things are returning to normal here, after our loss of BJ. It still amazes me how much of a vital part she was to all that went on here. As I tested Mannie this morning, it was especially poignant - she always used to sit beside him for his tests. Guess she wanted to make sure I didn't screw up. :lol: :lol: Mannie has been back to camping out with his nanners, and the Christmas tree vigil has been waning. Good thing!, as the tree comes down today. WOW: this holiday season sure went by fast. We had a great test feed shoot this morning: lots of purrs and head rubs from the Nanner King. Breffis was consumed with gusto - still at warp speed, clean plate club status maintained, the auto feeder continues to be used, and well yes, once again Elsa did raid his auto feeder, and I am still running interception, again and again and again ... :roll: What else is new there. :shock: :roll: :roll: and we are slowly returning to the status quo. Things are better here today, and for that I am grateful. Semi-Normalcy in MannieLand.

Have a great day everyone! I am off this AM to have my car serviced, long over due! :roll: And then home to put away Christmas, and properly ring in 2012. :-D Hopefully the weather will hold so I can squeeze in a walk too.

Awww, BJ is beautiful! She looks like my neighbor's kitty whom I cat sit often. Was BJ a Russian Blue? I know she is missed during your morning routines. I bet you hear and see more sightings of her this week. Good thoughts and hugs to you diring this time.
I like Mannie's nice blues; looks like he is back on track today. I like your promo of the white mocha peppermint! Every time I get geared up to get one I always end up with the straight up coffee, no sugar or cream or shot of espresso. Have a wonderful day, Michelle. What's up, any walk if weather permits?

Morning Ann - I am not too sure that she was a Russian blue... she has some of the characteristics, but not 100%. And thanks - I bet I do too. :-D It does seem like he is back on track today. hope so! Yep on the walk - after the car stuff, and the tree removal stuff. :lol: :lol:

Hi Michelle, Mannie,

In reading about how BJ kept your household so well ordered, I picture her as the "Gumbie Cat" in T.S. Eliot's poem who takes it upon herself to teach the mice to sing and to knit and crochet, who organizes the cockroaches and gets them to behave, etc. The last stanza reads:
"So for Old Gumbie Cats let us now give three cheers--
On whom well-ordered households depend, it appears."

I know that you will miss your BJ and all that she accomplished. She will always be "at home" with you, and it is wonderful that she sent you a message that she is OK at the Bridge. Mannie was so generous to send her off with his nanner.
Thank you for your moving tribute to a very special kitty and for posting her pictures. How beautiful she is, with her green eyes and soft black fur. I hope that she will join the Bridge Kitchen Krew. Chef Stu is undoubtedly recruiting her as I write.

Hey Mannie, We sure had a good time at the party. And it was so nice to remember your sister BJ with songs. I know how much you and Elsa will miss her. I was honored to sing along with Moonie and the Kitty Chorus to make sure that BJ knew we all were thinking of her.
Today we have SNOW, so come over and we can ski or snowshoe or build a snow fort.

Hi Roni - I did get out for a while, but not as long as I had hoped. I HAD to get the Christmas stuff down and put away, so the hike came after. Of course the packing up took longer than I had hoped... :lol: :lol: and of course by then it was raining. :roll: But I went anyways... :razz: and thanks too on BJ - we're doing OK.

Hey Celi - many thanks! She did have such a pretty fur color - photos don't quite do it justice. Mannie sure did try - he wanted to now if that blue surf for most of the morning was still considered Rockin' the dose. I told him it was. :razz: :lol:

Hi Ella - wow - that was so cool. I remember ed that - once you mentioned it. Old Gumbie Cat - that really does fit her. It is amazing to me, ow that she is gone, how much she really did control things here, with Mannie and Elsa. She watched over everything. Thanks for sharing that - I really enjoyed the reference. and yes she did - It was nice to have received one so soon. Funny - she loved to eat - anything, so it would not surprise me if she is already working for Stu. Thank you for your kind words.

I'm sorry to hear that you lost a member of the family. BJ looks exactly like Gus' civvie son. Same figure too. It is especially sad when the routines that were so much a part of our day are different because of the absence of one of our much loved animals. I sure hope Mannie is doing his very best to comfort you by keeping you busy feeding him! Hope Santa brought you some new nanners, Mannie. Take good care of your bean, she may need a extra cuddle or two. Happy New Year Michelle and Mannie.

What a gorgeous blue cycle for Mannie!!! I'm sure the PMPS is stress-induced by you taking down his tree. Just because he is not under it doesn't mean he wants you to remove it :lol:

What beautiful pics of BJ....those eyes...amazing green. Such a gorgeous girl. I know how very much you miss her and all the little habits of the day. Hugs, Michelle....

Hi Bev - how great to hear from you. I hope all is well with you and Gus. And thanks you for your words about BJ. And yes, Mannie is doing his best to be a cuddly kitty, which is really nice, since he doesn't do that often. He is also proud to report that Santa did bring him some new nanners.

Hi Marje - this morning was nice - sure did like that cycle. and oh well on this evening.... maybe he is upset that his tree is back in the box... :lol: :lol: thank on BJ - we do miss her, her routines.

Hi Georgia - I wish I knew! I sure would like back my blue kitty!! thx on BJ - i am glad everyone enjoyed the photos. And yes she is! She was such a sweetie. She had the prettiest smoke grey fur, with a little white patch on her chest. One does have to love those grey cats!
