Good Morning LL

I don't know what's going on here. I know he isn't bouncing from 4 days ago. The Friskies he had yesterday, that I was suspicious of, is only 4% carbs.
I gave it today, for breffis, so everyone would eat the same thing.

Civvies are still driving me crazy, wanting dry food. I'm beginning to get angry, rather than feel sorry for them.

I'm doing all this for Checkers....no contraband for a couple weeks, and I still can't get him in blue. His escalator, only goes from pink/yellow to green..rarely stopping on blue floor

Am I expecting too much? I don't understand how to get him in healthy blue numbers. :YMSIGH:

Morning Barb, Bless you heart.. The good thing is those little civies will eat. BUT first they make you feel like pond scum for daring to serve it them and hoping if they seem miserable enough something else will appear. You are doing great things for them!!

Morning Barb and Checkers sorry you are so frustrated! Hope Checkers numbers will go down, maybe raising the dose a bit will help? Good job getting the civvies on wet food. Hope you have a better day. Hugs!

Hi Barb, sending positive vines for Checkers to come down into a better range of numbers. Yeah, the 4% carbs seems okay. Maybe the dose threat will work on Checkers. Oh boy, those little civvies are conniving to get you to serve them their other food which we won't mention. Checkers, come down and make some changes today for your Bean. Hope you are feeling better Barb.

It's so frustrating to not be able to tell why they go up sometimes. Hang in there. You're doing a good job with Checkers and getting the civvies to eat wet food. Hopefully Checkers will come down and give you some blue soon.

Today, Checkers had diarrhea, aroma would knock out a horse. It smelled 'sick'.
Then he threw up. I gave 1/4 tablet Pepcid AC
I saw teeny pieces of a treat he had eaten about 20 minutes earlier. The treat is a chicken/bonito flakes combo, that has glycerin in it. He has been eating these treats since Christmas.

I've read conflicting reports about whether glycerin, a sugar alcohol, will raise bg. Some say 'no', others say 'yes, but more slowly'.
He doesn't get this often, but at least once a day about half teaspoon flakes. Guess that one's trash now.

He has eaten a little FF T&G since, so he seems to feel better now.

:YMHUG: :YMHUG: Hang in there Barb! They will get used to it! And maybe a drop more would help Checkers too. I've been at the same stand still w/ Tess and it is amazing what that extra drop does!

Thing is , he just got a shave reduction, because of 30's, on 12/29. I hate having to reduce because of one day's low, because he just doesn't hold the reduction.

Tomorrow, no treats, except baby meat...no food other than FF, chicken or beef.
At least I will know if it's something I've given him.

Edited to delete some whining. Saw note on SS about overcarbbing on Sat, so as to deal with furnace repairman, while Checks was in 30's.

I feel your frustration. It is certainly possible that Checkers' stomach is a little queasy. It's good to eliminate those questionable things and just stick with what you know works to see what happens. Rusty says: ya can't go wrong with FF T&G!!

Anyway, have a good evening and just hang in there. Checkers: give your mamabean some nice numbers and show those civvies a thing or two!
