Good Full Wolf Moon Morning, Everyone!

Higher and higher go the bgs! There may be some food behind the AMPS: Rusty rushed to his dish to finish the nighttime leftovers before I could pick it up. He woke me up in the middle of the night licking my face!! Good test this morning (1st try), but hard time finding skin for the shot. I think it went in! Today I'll be out x-country skiing all day until about +9 or or, but DH will be keeping Rusty company. No more tests until the afternoon, however. I hope he comes back down into the 80s. Everything else is good: breakfast (1st installment) eaten, great play with Big Bug, the Cube and the Scratcher.

Hope all is well in LL today.

Ella

Hey Kitties! Full Wolf Moon Party this evening at Camp Stu. See you all there!

Not sure why the higher ps.
Rusty is a sweet guy.....what a nice way to wake up. Are you getting anymore snow this week?
Have a good day skiining Ella.

Re: 1/19 Rusty AMPS 146

Good morning guys ... sorry to see the higher amps, but maybe it's just a food spike and he'll be back down soon .. have a good time skiing .. have a great day!

Re: 1/19 Rusty AMPS 146

Are you using the long needles or short ones Ella? I rarely have furshots with Maverick but I focus on more feel than visual and the small needles help not to poke through the tent. Sneaky Rusty... knows the Bean will pick up what he leaves behind.

Re: 1/19 Rusty AMPS 146

Let's hope for a food spike this AM. Have a great day skiing, Edward and Rusty have fun chilling at home

Re: 1/19 Rusty AMPS 146

Hope this is just a food spike for Rusty and he comes back down to those nice greens for you, Ella. Oh, btw, sweet kitty kisses a wonderful, no matter what time of day/night (or so I'm telling myself), as long as the kitty breath is sweet too, lol. Spot alway wakes me up during the night like that...kitty kisses to tell me it's time to open up the timed feeder or that the timed feeder already opened and someone else ate it, so needs to be refilled!

Enjoy your skiing today. A friend of mine does that and has asked me if I wanted to join her sometime. I would really love to do that, but gotta get myself into better shape before heading out in the cold, lol!!!

Re: 1/19 Rusty AMPS 146, PMPS 77

Hi again, Everyone,
I guess Rusty came down! 77 at PMPS tells me that he probably surfed green most of the day. And then I had to possibly compromise it all with what may have been a partial fur shot (it felt like the insulin went in, but I smelled Lev. Maybe it was residue on the needle--hope so!) (Yes, Marjorie, I do use the shorter needles. My main problem is finding skin through all that hair!!).
Anyway, Edward said that Rusty didn't eat his lunch and slept all afternoon (sleep at this time of day is usual for him), but I saw that he did eat much of his food (Edward doesn't see very well), and he ate more about 1 1/2 hours before PMPS (of course! his favorite time to eat!).
Now he's off to Camp Stu for the big Full Wolf Moon Party.
My ski was good: about 6 miles on old logging roads. It had rained lightly all night and the top of the snow was crusty, but underneath it was fine. It snowed all day. We didn't climb the Pinnacle: we skied around it. Then we went to a back-country place called Deer Valley Trails for soup and beer and apple pie. They feed deer there (illegally) and there were about 20 deer milling around, including an 8-point buck (still with his antlers; usually they shed them by this time of year). The deer were neat to watch.

Hope you all will have a good evening,
Ella

Hey Kitties, Isn't it great that Mannie picked us all up in the bus and we have arrived!! I'm busy starting a fire in the fireplace and Binks is using the ice auger to cut a hole in the ice for ice fishing (Tess: stay away from that hole!). Mannie, Tess, Gracie, Spot, Willie and I are getting the ingredients into the pot for the venison stew. Moonie is tuning up her vocal cords. Shadow can't wait to begin howling at the moon. But the weather is locked in, so we may just see the brightness and not the full moon itself. But we know it's there!! Happy Full Wolf Moon, all you kitties. The cabin is full of all our friends. Let's PARTY!!
Rusty

Tess is on the bus , but keep an eye on her Rusty. She had an awfully big bag than clanked like tanks! ohmygod_smile

Rusty! I'm so excited, I love Camp Stu and howling. I been practicing w/ white Mouse at night. I'll try to stay away from the holes. -- Tess

What a great PM report! So wonderful on the ski!! LOVE the soup, beer and apple pie!!! I will have to look into taking up this sport. One of the hiking organizations that I belong to here put out a newsletter/email today about a cross country ski not too far from here, just shy of the mtn pass. Hmmmm - it just sounds so nice out there.

Wonderful pmps for Rusty! and let's hope no fur shot.

Rusty - this is so cool! I hear Tess brought a really big bag full of ???  oh oh ! We gots to watch out for her - she loves scuba diving there.... remember Halloween? --- I love this part the best: The cabin is full of all our friends. yes, it is. :-D :-D ~~ Mannie

Re: 1/19 Rusty AMPS 146, PMPS 77

Looks like a beautiful day here for Rusty. He's doing so well.

Sounds like you had a great day skiing. Right now we have so much snow (50cm so far this month) that you could easily X country ski on the roads. They said on the news tonight that we've had the largest snowfall in a short period of time in 20 years which is saying something for Edmonton.

Well the party must be in full swing by now. Thank Rusty for me for setting up a special place by the fire for Tori. She does tend to overdue it once she starts to feel better. Maybe Rusty could take Rocky and introduce him around to to some of the girl kitties. He's kind of shy.

Party on KItties!!
