Morning LL! Moonie has not pooped in3 days, today will be the 4th, so we are taking her to see the vet~~
Not our reg. vet, the senior vet, the one who made a mistake with my Copper(GA)...He should have done an xray with him, and didnt--
But she just needs to be examined & needs an enema..The lactulose doesnt seem to be doing anything--at this time..
Please say prayers for her I am always afraid for her...She is eating like a horse, seems like she gained weight,& is surely quite feisty..doesnt feel sick that I know of--

(((Roni & Moonie))) Sending many good vines for Moonie 's Vet appt. I was watching for her condo and hoping we would see some good poo news, so sorry. I remember when Mags went in for enemas, they did an X-ray. Might not be a bad idea for Moonie. Hope all goes well and will be waiting for an update.. Lots of love, hugs and prayera.

Sending prayers for a good vet visit and that they will be able to find out what is going on and help Moonie poo.

Oh darn, so sorry this is happening again! Hope the enema gets things moving along, and so sorry you have to deal with someone you've lost confidence in. Healing thought going to you and Moonie.

Drat... hope this resolves quickly. Moonie seems in fine fettle otherwise :smile:
 
She's OK, poo still leaking out of her--Poor GiRL!!
WAITED 2 HRS at vet's office--OMG and poor Moonie was in her cat carrier the whole time!!
She finally was seen and vet was nice..Checked her over & read her whole recent file..She has actually lost weight, but she feels heavier to us, (having doubts about their scale) but~~~6 lbs ....Moonie eats
well, that's good, drinks a lot, that's good..her FD numbers are decent for cat on prednisolone, she had BW 2 mths ago, & had an xray at that time too..
He said as cats age, their bodies change, some cats go every day, some not as often, and Moonie not going everyday may be her New Normal...He said what would he reommend as tests, repeat BW soon, see how she does poop wise, and perhaps a u/s...
What he did was examination, and she got an enema...Vet tech said she pooped right before the enema, & some more after--So it was in there, guess we have to SCARE it outof her cat(2)_steam She also got Sub Q fluids!!

He Advised us using Miralax, plus current lactulose, and to give her a little milk or cream cheese every day, as milk does give cats diarrhea, and for Moonie it will work as stool softener--
I will give her added Miralax & see what that does--then see about the milk products...
He said for 16 1/2 she is doing well & she was feisty to the nice vet tech :lol: :lol:
If she stays this way for a while we will all be happy, but we need a poo every 2-3 days Moonie!!

The Prayers & good vetty vines worked--the vet is an oldie, but sometimes old ways work better--she threw up on way home & has been leaking liquipoo, and also threw up her food at home her--a few times
So took her food away for now--
She also Came Home & went right to the Carpeting and PEED!!!!! She showed us!!!
We were all very stressed there & need to calm down...

Detective Poo is following Moonie's progress very closely, so yay for poo! I hope you have a calm evening and she keeps her food down. Sending tummy vines to sweet Moonie and calming vines to you and DH. ((((Roni))))

Maybe ever few days is the new normal but when it sits in the colon too long it gets dry and hard and hard to pass so I like your vets suggestions.

I associate Moonie with poo now ;) She is the poo machine! lol.
 
Yay :RAHCAT :RAHCAT :YMHUG: :YMHUG: so glad Moonie poo'd and sounds like this Vet gave her a good plan. I think adding the Miralax will help. Sending Moonie tummy vines. Hugs and love from us.
 
Too bad you had to wait 2 hours, but it was worth it to get a good vet and good results. I guess Moonie showed YOU when she peed on the floor!
