I hope everyone had a great Caturday. Mine was good, not my usual laid back relaxing Caturday. Busy yet again! Here's what I wrote in last night's condo: "Hi all! Good day for everyone? I sure hope so. Our weather was more or less lousy, we didn't get much above 41, not much in the line of sun either, but the fogs did leave. Still felt really cold though. SO, perhaps it was a good thing that it was an indoor type of day. We had a good time at the Model Trains exhibit at the Science Center. Nicholas wanted to see it all, so we more or less did. The train exhibit was decent. ALot of model trains there, more geared for the adults than the kids. We did find a few interactives that were all kid oriented, so the little guy was able to run a few of the trains. He really loved that part. There were a few of the models that he liked too. They had some working ones that were very nice. It was unfortunate that most of the trains were majorily hands off, behind plexiglass. At least he could see them run. The place was packed, alot of little kids there, alot of them unruly with unruly parents. :? ;-) No wonder most of the exhibitors didn't want these models touched. Some of these guys had some really nice stuff. We visited everything else there too. Second best on the list in little guys opinion was the butterfly house - he loves that too. Today he got himself a chart of all the butterflies and we went in search of them. That was fun. He found most of them too. His dad was lucky enough to have one land on his head, sit there for a while. Nicholas thought that was great. William slept through it. The day sure was a nice time out and about at the Science Center. Erin and I bought an annual family pass: covers 6 family members: $100/year. I paid half, saves me a ton of monthly over the course of the year. Free Imax too. I knew i'd need to get one, as Nicholas now costs to get in, $18 for me each visit. Seems to be that that $50.00 will pay for itself in no time.

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   The kitties were GOOD kitties yesterday, even Lola. Well, sorta on Lola.... Lola will always be Lola. I have no clue what they did all day yesterday,a s I was gone for most of it.... There was NO EVIDENCE of any mischievousness either! I came home to three angelic faces, who just wanted fuds, and a few leg rubs. HUH? Where were my crazy kitties? Elsa said it was too cold out and too foggy, and she just wanted her fleece bed. Bug said that it was too cold out too and too foggy too and all he wanted to do was sleep in his bed. Lola, unfortunately isn't talking. I spent a good amount of time looking for whatever it was that she had done. She hid the evidence well....    Normalcy in MusketeerVille!

Have a great day everyone! I'm not too sure what will be here today. An out and about for sure, but I think it will be local... to the shore if it isn't too cold, or wet, out there. Then again I so need to do all the things I would have done yesterday, my normal Caturday, if I hadn't gone and played with my DD, DSIL, and the boys. There still is that shopping, and errands and laundry, and all that stuff.....  :? Plus... it is SEAHAWKS FOOTBALL! GOOOOOOOOOO HAWKS! One has to watch the game too!

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN cat_pet_icon

It sounds like you had another great day with family yesterday :-D I think you are super smart to get an annual pass, seems like a steal when you go often, plus IMAX! It's too funny when the kitties are good, you scour the house trying to figure out what they did  Hopefully it isn't still hiding somewhere for you to find ;-) Today doesn't sound as interesting with errands and such, I have those too that I put off yesterday...hope you have a nice day, whatever you end up doing!

Hi Michelle,
Too bad that the train show was so crowded, but at least Nicholas got to see lots of models. The butterfly pics are super!

Have a great day today, getting out for a hike or a walk. We need these days-for-ourselves, too!

Elsa, the Ethiopian is my fave, as you know. THANK YOU!!

Hope Lola behaves herself today

Hugs, scritches,

Ella & Rusty

The annual pass sounds like a great idea. It sounds like Nicholas had a great time. How funny that well behaved kitties makes you wonder what they were up to. I hope you get a walk in today sometime.

Loved the train photos. Looks like there were a number of layouts set up. Really nice that there were a couple that kids could interact with. Nicholas must have been thrilled. A lot of effort goes into the more detailed layouts, and they are delicate, so they are observe only.

Elsa, thanks for the triple espressos. Still needed here.

John

morning everyone! You all ready for some football? GO SEAHAWKS! I've been watching some of the pre-game stuff here WOW, these fans have been at it since 7AM, game isn't till 3:30 or so.... I can only imagine what it will be like at kickoff.

Hi Rachel ~O) ~O) ~O) Yes, we did! It is always fun to hang out with them. I so agree on the annual pass. Now that Nicholas likes to go there so much it made perfect sense. We seem to be there a couple of times a month, at least in the winter months, when it is just too cold and wet for them to be outdoors for any great length of time. so true on the kitties, and I ave found nothing. maybe she was a good girl! :-D THX on today, errands and chores almost done, now for some football and a shore/woods walk. YAY!

Hi Ella - so true on the crowds yesterday - they were huge, but we did manage to see most of what was there, and he did get to run all the trains that were for the kids. He was happy. :-D THX on the butterfly pics - I was pleased with the number of them that were out. Really alot! LOL on Lola - so far, she's been good! THx too on today. I hope to get out in a few, before the game is on. :-D
Auntie Ella - YUPP! I so knows! I make it extra special for you. I can brings more too! Is it cold there today? Maybe you need some cocoa too! ~~ Elsa, KBP

Hi Carla ~O) ~O) ~O) I think so too on the annual pass, it really was a matter of time. I also have one for the aquarium, as we go there so very often. Yes on Nicholas. He enjoyed the trains, and then was also able to show his mom and dad all the other parts that he likes so much. So true on the kitties!

Hi John ~O) ~O) ~O) We really enjoyed the trains. There were some really great set-ups. They utilized areas of the whole center, all four buildings. Some of the setups were really extensive, and well done. it was hard to get good photos, as there were so many people! I could so appreciate the amount of effort that went into so many of these, and there was alot of gratitude on my part that these guys did what they needed to to keep them protected. Some of the kids there did not understand "look, but don't touch". Nicholas was very happy with the whole thing, and that they had things for the kids, that were hands on. He had a blast with those, learning how to make the trains go. great stuff!
Uncle John! YOU GOTS IT! You need more??? I am on my ay ~~ Elsa, KBP

Hi all! How's the football coming.... I see so far we have Denver. and who will win? Seattle or SF? Of course I am rooting for the Seahawks, but one has to pull out their hair when one of the first plays of the game is a fumble, and we cough up the ball.... sheshhhh!

I spent the pre-game time on a walk/trek through the woods to the shore. It sure was quiet down there, no one is out at all. Must be alot of football fans here, and they are glued to their TV's. :-D The fog has more or less lifted here, but it still remains gloomy... no rains, but very overcast. It was a nice hike through, the tides were out, so I was able to go some distance on the shore. I always enjoy that part. It is a nice time: just me and the sounds of the water. I made it back just in time for kick-off. so... guess I had better go be a fan and root for the home team. I will post the Picassa link to the photos from the park in tomorrows condo.

Hi Michelle,

Football is on here, and I am not allowed to switch the channels :-D
Love the butterfly pictures - maybe it is good luck to have one land on your head  They are so beautiful and so fragile looking~
The annual pass is definitely a good idea - you and Nicholas will make good use of it!

Have a great night - I will root for your Seahawks, as my Bucs were on the bottom of the barrel this season!

Hi Jane :-D :-D :-D GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SEAHAWKS! WE WON! fancy that. I wasn't so sure there for a while.... I so know how it goes when one cannot switch channels. There would be a war here if I did that. THX on the pics. Those butterflies were gorgeous that day, and so many of them too! I wonder too if it is good luck when one lands on you. We all thought it was great. I so agree on the pass, now that Nicholas really enjoys the place it is one of our rainy day places to go. oh - bummer on the Bucs.... there was a time not too long ago where that is where the Seahawks were too. ;-)
