1/19 Ivy Amps 400, +2.7 321, +3 289, +5.25 235, +7 246, +9 231, Pmps 189, +2.75 53, +3.5 Lo L=165 C

I forgot to mention, I set up and tested the new remote wifi & Bluetooth enabled auto feeder. Worked great. It has 6 meal capability. Bought on Amazon. Highly recommend.
Very easy to set up and schedule feeding or tell it to feed “now” when you want it to open (that was my goal.
If I see she’s dropping and I am out and watching on the Libre app, I can open feeder immediately and she could eat carbs I’ve loaded right away, if no one is home to assist).
Feeder is :
iPettie Donuts Frost WiFi 6 Meal Automatic Cat Food Dispenser with App Control, Dry & Wet Food Automatic Cat Feeder, Smart Dog Feeder with Two Ice Packs, Programmable Timer, Holds 6 x ½ lb. of Food

Good morning Staci!
Sounds like a bad weather day. Stay inside and stay warm!
Enjoy time with sweet Ivy - she had great cycles yesterday and her body is working hard to get used to the lower numbers :cat:
Frustrating process for us though!
Have a nice Friday! Hope you don't have to shovel! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Morning Staci!

Looks like Ivy is copying off of Tigers paper this morning! They both need to get down to business today.
Have a great day with your baby and snuggle up!

Hi Kit, I know, she does love a good bounce though. I guess she’s still trying to learn lower numbers after all this time. Thanks for reminding me of that :rolleyes:
Gonna try not to shovel. My back would pay the price if I do.
Snow is pretty, but causes so many problems. And I always worry about animals who are outside. :(
Have a great day :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I think you’re right, Deb. Ivy is already coming down. She does like to bounce but then she does like to come down from them pretty quickly at this point, so I’m happy at least when she does go high she tends to get over her little hissy fit of being high pretty quickly. :rolleyes:
Have a safe and happy day:bighug::bighug::bighug:

So, I bought an automatic dispenser (nothing fancy with wifi since I need to test it). Did I buy it months ago? Yes. Have I been meaning to test it? Also yes. Does Ivy hear it and then come running to eat it? Sometimes Kit is so asleep that I have to poke her and wave the food under her nose to get her to eat. And while she's treat motivated (or gravy motivated :rolleyes:), she's not terribly food motivated. Just curious if Ivy reacts to it. And I suppose I won't actually know until I try.

I hope you see some good numbers from Ivy today, non bounce inducing, lovely slow numbers. :bighug:

Definitely set it up and give it a try. I think they learn once they start hearing the sound. It took Once or twice, and I had to sort of coax her, but once she got used to hearing the sound, she goes running most of the time.
Of course usually she’s pretty close to where the feeder is, if not in the exact same room so that makes it easier.
If they were in another part of the house, that would certainly be a problem.
But if I am to leave her at home alone, I make sure she is confined to the room where the food is so she would be sure to hear it, since my goal would be to make sure I need her to eat while I am out. I hope that makes sense.
Have a great surf and a great weekend. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Good meowning
Looks like Ivy is back to her fav number 400 :nailbiting: but meow she's on the move cause she heard all the cool kitties hang out on the beach. Just nice and steady sweet Ivy. We don't like these big drops.

Happy to hear the auto feeder is working out so far. I have two regular auto feeders but I might invest in one with wifi control as well one day.

Enjoy your Friday.

Ugh..the bounce....I'm sorry. It's so frustrating! Sending hugs, and yes...many wishes for Spring. I think we are paying the price for a mild first part of winter by me...snow again here too, and also worried about shoveling...again...and the outside critters. (I'm seeing kitty paws in the snow...and trying not to look...:(:() Hugs and hope Ivy keeps coming down smoothly :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I know. I lose sleep worrying about animals outside in bad weather. :(
Where are you in PA, Christine? Eastern, western or middle? Wonder how far apart we are.
I know. Ivy is flatty flat today after she came down a bit from her fugly bounce. So tonight she will probably get busy and keep me up late.
I hope you are all safe and cozy today! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Karolina, yep her fave red dress. I told her to burn it. :mad:
I told her the cool kitties go to the beach. She just laughs at me in her tube top.
Hope Nestle is surfing the waves today.
If Ivy were more stable I wouldn’t need the wifi feeder. But I can’t trust her to stay up high if I step out for a few hours once a week. (Is that too much to ask for????)
Stay warm where you are.
:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Afternoon Staci, I'm so happy you are pleased with the new feeder and if you go out you won't have to worry about Ivy.
Great idea if you do go out you confine her to a room with the feeder so she hears it. I hope she doesn't get too busy tonight so you can get some sleep . I can't wait for spring either !
Stay warm and don't break your back shoveling :bighug::bighug::bighug::cat:

Hi Diane, thanks. I think the feeder will help my stress level a little. I worry so much when I go out!
I hope she does come down a bit, just not all night long!
I hope you’re doing ok with this snowy weather. Stay safe in Jersey, my neighbor. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Staci :)
I'm happy to see that Ivy got rid of the nasty red rather quickly. I bet you'r relieved. I hope she forgets soon how red looks like :woot:
Enjoy the snow and being at home close to your gorgeous furry baby.
Is her itchiness gone?
Sending warm hugs :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Shelly, yes she does clear the bounce quickly, so that’s good. We just need to get her to stop such high jumps. :(
She’s still licking and sometimes pulling some fur a bit. It’s better than it was before when she had the tee shirt on. Not completely stopped, but better.
I meet with the nutritionist via Zoom on Monday so I’ll see what she thinks. (I’m on the fence about changing her food).

Ivy is in her cozy bed as usual today. Since I went to the grocery store earlier I let her be lazy in bed. If I’m home I make her come upstairs in the kitchen and hang out with me there (I usually do my work there. It’s sunny and bright so I try to get her in a sunny room in the daytime.)
Sometimes she goes to my bedroom. There’s a favorite chair there she likes to sleep on, too. The girl has options. :rolleyes:
I hope you get lots of rest this weekend.

Thanks for checking in :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I love knowing a bit more of her routine and imagine Ivy in her different spots, keeping you good company :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Pmps 189
Guess she’s having a late nadir and finally decided to break this ugly bounce. I assume we shall have a busy night. Me and my furry feline best friend :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Okay - A - nice PMPS there! B - She is super cute in that photo, but I can definitely still see some sass and 'tude. And I love me some sass and 'tude in a cat (I know she gets difficult because of said 'tude, I still find it adorable because I'm apparently a masochist).

lol, Alicia. She does have sass and ‘tude (even tho she’s not a tortie). You read her right!!
But she’s my cutie and I love her. Even though she’s a maniac :)

Kin

kindred spirits! I like Tiger’s lower numbers better than Ivy’s though, today.
If you get close to Pmps and you’re worried if he keeps going lower, post for help with a question mark in your title :)

Thanks Staci! I’m already thinking about that! I did give him a tiny 1/2 teas of food at about +9.5 just in case as I know no food within 2 hours of shoot. Hope I did ok…

Ivy has decided she’s breaking this darned bounce tonight. We are just past +2 and she’s wobbling downward to get to 100 or lower on her Libre so far. Fed 1 tsp 9.25% and she’s at 89 now as I observe on her sensor.
:woot:
Let’s see where this goes. Better tonight than tomorrow. I have to be out for a “milestone” birthday party for DH and no one will be home. Auto remote feeder will be at the ready if needed. I’ll be watching my girl. And If really necessary, I can bail the party early and be home in under 20 minutes. But hope I don’t need to. I will also feed some higher carbs to boost her before I leave at +1.

She’s just trying to help mom out! Sounds like a good plan for your night out tomorrow. Such a good mom!

I love the tag team approach. Maybe you could convince my hubby to at least keep watch. (Although I probably would tell him he does it wrong) :rolleyes:
It’s just Friday and Saturday, when he can catch sleep the next morning. He works during the week, so I do 5, he does 2. I couldn’t do it 7 nights…
Tiger has changed his pattern, his lowest are now during the day where up to last week they were always at night…

at least you have libre alarm..

Got it. That’s good though. And if you get the Libre 3 then you don’t have to feel like you must be up all night long. It really has helped me a lot!

We got the vet to send in prescription but cvs was out. They got it in today and will pick up tomorrow
We’ll have it for next change.

Our vet tech who changes it, said he never has done a 3. It it any different in how it’s applied? Also will I need a different app on my phone or the same one?

Yes download the Libre 3 app, it is different than your current app. Put the app on both phones (yours and the one for Tiger to stay near him). And also the Libre Linkup app on both phones, too.

It’s a very similar application. It’s one piece instead of 2 pieces from the container (I had only used the 2 but never the 14 day, so not sure on yours).

Yes now it is 2 pieces. But it’s applied the same way? I think he/ we can figure it out, if not I’ll be asking you questions:)

Yep applied same way. It’s just smaller and I find it slightly harder to lift the cap off when I install it so I hold my breath and pray. lol.
They say to just push down and gently lift off (easier said than done).
But no more “click” like the earlier versions.
And I keep a butter knife handy in case I need to slide it under the cap to gently lift the cap off the sensor. It just takes practice to learn the tricks. :rolleyes:

Oh Staci, what a cute pic! :kiss::kiss::kiss:
Looks like Ivy is having a super active cycle.
Hope she settles and you get to have some rest!
Sending you :bighug::bighug::bighug:
Thanks, Kit. It’s active but when I check on the handheld she’s quite safe. I’d like her lower actually.
I’m gonna try to get in bed soon.
Hope you guys are having a good night. Safe surf to Mikan :bighug::bighug::bighug:
