I can't click on your link to yesterday, and I'm sorry I can't answer your question:( If we're going to skip a day, we should definitely not have it be Saturday, make it Monday :-D They are soooo cute when they sleep! It looks like Mary Grace is having a nice slide down today. Hope the PMPS is nice as well  . Happy Caturday!

sounds like a good plan, elizabeth. if i ask again, just remind me that you're not ready yet! sometimes i *might* forget who has said what!

i don't know if having been diabetic for a long time before diagnosis has an impact on how high the dose goes. haven't heard that. exercise can help the cells be more receptive to insulin, so any exercise is good.

Elizabeth, I don't know if you've read Julie's post on glucose toxicity, but it might be related to your question. The longer cats are in higher numbers, their body gets used to them and it takes more insulin to get them down into nicer numbers.

I recently found this article on insulin resistance in cats which describes a number of reasons a cat may need a higher dose. Pancreatitis is one of the reasons listed. Neko has acromegaly and insulin auto antibodies (one thing the article does not list).

I too love watching cats sleep. I wish I could be in their dreams with them. :-D
