Morning LL,

Well the auto feeder still isn't being checked at night, I'm so surprised :o I load it all up with fuds and set it to go off at +8 and every morning Leo comes in my room and does the whole "I'm starving" routine, meanwhile he's got food in the feeder that he just doesn't check. What can I do? I know the feeder doesn't make a sound when it opens. Poor baby, his little tummy was gurgling he was so hungry when I was testing him, he could barely sit still long enough for testing. He ate all of fuds up in a flash and of course CPC was achieved.

Well it's still -50 out with the windchill, I had the heat cranked all night and even then it was still a cold sleep. Leo snuggled under the blankets too for awhile.

Physio today and I hope it's not too painful, other than that I'm staying in and staying warm. Have a wonderful day everyone.

I hope this very nice sunny start leads to blue skies today.

Try feeding Leo's regular meals in the auto feeder. Then you can point out to him when it opens.

Good luck with the physio today. I hope it isn't as painful as last time.

Morning!! Moonie likes the auto feeder--She thinks it like a magical food giver--
Tracy How about putting some treats that Leo likes in there with the foods--Like a couple of temptations, freeze dried chicken, real chicken or an added extra you know he will eat?--You have to make the feeder appealing to him, even if it gets eaten & not the foods..He needs to be interested--give him a reason OK?

Oh Leo! There are fuds for you in your auto feeder buddy. We don't use one, so I have no words of wisdom.

Brrrrrr. I won't complain about mowing in 72 degrees in Jan again. It is 18 F here this morning, so quite the drop. Nothing like what you have though.

Hope your physio goes well and you are able to stay in where it is warm and cuddle your big guy!

Not too bad a start for the day for a poor kitty who starved over night! :lol: :lol:

Maybe quiet isn't so goo. Try an alarm buy it, set for the same time to draw his attention. i alos put the feeder near where Tess likes to sleep when I am gone all day. That way she can't miss it!

I hope today's physio session is less painful. :YMHUG:

Poor Starving Leo! :o I hope he figures out the auto feeder. It took Mannie forever to learn that thing - forever. Mine makes a noise though, so he knows to check things out when the feeder does it's thing. And so does his sister.... :roll: Come one Leo - you can do this: there is good stuff in there!

You guys are getting a terrible cold snap out west. Glad it's not here. Yet.

Good idea about using the timed feeder for regular meal times. Maybe stay next to him as it opens as opposed to him seeing you feed him.
My girls hear it open and come running. :lol:

Hi guys .. poor leo and his growing tummy! I think it's a good idea to put his regular meals and snacks in there .. that way he get's used to it .. mocha could hear her's go off in a dead sleep ... :lol: Hope the appt today isn't to painful .. have a great day!

Thanks for all the ideas on getting Leo to use his feeder, I did try the chicken treats at first and he ate them up no problem. He just doesn't check his dishes as often as I thought he did, if he did he would see fuds there. He already has his kitty bed right beside his dishes, I wonder if I could find a little alarm to go off once at feeding time just to get him used to a feeder.

The HR manager from work just phoned me, I've opened that can of worms I was talking about the other day. If my physiotherapists and doctor decide I can't go to work up at site then HR has arranged for me to go to work at head office here in the city, no matter what they will not let me become an lost time accident and sit at home. Lost time accidents affect everyones bonuses and nobody likes their money being taken away from them! See what I mean by opening the can of worms........ :roll:

oh wow on the can of worms... so true! and yeah - i believe it: no one want anything affecting their bonuses, of their $$$. Well, head office or you for awhile? I hope you will be ale to return to the site.
