Happy Friday Everyone! (But I don't like it ...blecchhhh) :-|

I got the Terumo syringes yesterday and used them for Sebastian's PM cycle and I DON'T KNOW HOW YOU GUYS USE THOSE THINGS!!! angry(2)_cat I find them really hard to fill. Once I finally was able to pull the syringe open (much more of a tug than with Monoject), It just slides all the way open wasting a whole lot of insulin.I thought it was me the first time and I did it again and it happened again. I couldn't draw the insulin in slowly is what I'm trying to say. I feel like I have absolutely no control with them. And coincidentally, it's the first time I've gotten three readings in the 300's since I've been giving Sebastian insulin. Cheryl said the measurements aren't the same and I guess they aren't. Not sure that I like them. Anyone agree or disagree?

Anyway I'm using Monoject this morning and I still can't figure out what the heck I'm supposed to do with the caliper? Where does it go in relation to the syringe?I want to stick a syringe into it and squeeze it to death. Yeah frustrated this morning....grrrrrrr. I was expecting to like those syringes and I don't.

On the brighter and less whiny side, Sebastian ate a big breffis and is feeling fine. He's taking a morning snooze while the young'uns playfully tear the apartment apart. All p's A-OK.

Have a great day everyone. Again, I'd really like to know WHERE I put the caliper other than in my drawer (okay I'm not that bright I don't get the picture)

PS I just checked three Terumo syringes and the zero line is actually not at zero it's above the zero line which means I gave Sebastian LESS insulin than I usually do last night :( Even when I held the plunger down it was above zero.

If you don't get an answer on this soon, I'll take a look on Sunday and maybe between the two of us we can figure out the caliper.. Intuitively I think I know what it's supposed to do....but having never seen or used one....not totally sure....
