Good Evening everyone.

I had some anxiety today in leaving Jax alone. AMPS was 323 which I shot 2U into.
+2/ 249 came in lower than I expected. I don't have much data around a +2 # coming in that range. I tested him on the way out the door.

All I could think about during day was the #...'was he in the green? Too low?'
Toward the end of the day a crises at work kept me there longer than I anticipated and I knew I would be an hour late in adminstering the PM shot. Now, all I could think about was the #...'was he in the red? Too high?'

PMPS at +13 came in at 389, which probably would have been in the 200's if I shot him on time. Going to try and see what tonight looks like (+2, +4, +6) to give me peace of mind for the AM cycle.

Ah...almost forgot. I sent a potential vet a fax with Jax's SS and a letter of intent, which basically outlined what I intended the vet to do. I figure I'm going to go about this process as if I am doing the hiring, which in essence, I am. I mentioned previously that I read the letter to my DH and he thought it nuts.

Anyway, we have a taker! The office responded back that their 'specialist' in FD would love to set up an appt to see me and that she had reviewed Jax's SS. We'll see if this is the real McCoy or not. I'm armed with Teresa's questionaire for my potential new hire.

I hope this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

WOW!
good for you Lisa!!
that is wonderful and an excellent way to look at it!
Good luck!

and I so understand how you felt all day..
sometimes we are going to have days like that...

You really need to warn folks not to be drinking when they read your posts, Lisa.

Now that I have the monitor cleaned off, and the keyboard rather dried out.....

I lost it when I read about "my" questionnaire. Those questions were not my brainchild but the suggestions of those from here of what to ask. :-D And what great questions they were, too!

The new vet sounds great! Can't wait to hear how the visit goes!

And worrying while a work? Sometimes I wish I didn't live so close!

Sounds good Lisa and good luck with new vet.

I know I feel the same way when i leave the house and when i come nome my girls run up to check on him and they are the first to report- Copper is alive. I guess they worry too.

Keep us updated on the vet visit.
